Guns do not make a cop. Ever hear of "armed security guards"? They are not police nor peace officers. They have no arresting authority. Where I went to college there were "campus cops" who were the same. They could give you a citation but they had no authority to arrest you. They would have to call the real police for that.

NVM operator beat me to it. So he had the authority to arrest her but did he have a good reason for it? She could say she felt unsafe when he reached in her car.

Your platter sir...

"University Police Officers are sworn law enforcement officers of the State of Florida who are authorized to carry firearms and authorized to make arrests on the property under the control of the University."

Thank you. So he is allowed to carry a gun, but are the campus police normally armed?

This guy was a sworn LEO with arrest authority. Though he seems a bit like a quality d-bag.

Security guards are different. They are paid to protect a specific property, etc. Same here for campus police, they didn't carry guns when I went to school. AFAIK, they still don't. The security guards and mall cops aren't armed. If some is caught shoplifting, they have to call the real cops.

But empty guns with bullets carried in their pockets.

I loved that show when I was a kid.

Bullets in their socks, BBQ in their pockets.

They have some joker who looks like Barney and drives around in a replica police car. He's even on some local TV commercials here.

Chang and Eng Bunker also lived in Mt. Airy (Mayberry)

Oh, you are one of those...

You mean a gun nutter, a social liberal, a Conservative libertarian, a civil rights advocate,

or a person that know Mayberry is not a real place because I have been to Andy G's home town

In fact the residents very strongly point this out
