Our case updated online showing the expected delivery for the GC is Monday, January 12th . It included tracking number. They are sending it by Priority Mail 3-day delivery. This is exciting!!!!!!!

I have not been on this post since the bio appointment for my hubby.

OK maybe a dumb question....but how can we check our case? and how does one know they have movement or been approved?

You can Check your status online in this link https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

Use the number on your Form I-797C, Notice of Action. The application/petition/request number on the right corner of the page. They provide two numbers. If the first doesn't work try second. My spouse got the information using the second number provided.

I just have got an sms and followed by it email that my status has changed, so I looked online and it says: On January 13, 2015, we ordered your new card. So I suppose it is my approval date! God, I'm soo happy and thrilled now!!! Another step is over, and the last one is left, at last!

I just check online like 5mins ago and my Roc was approved on the 14th of January we ordered production of your new card.Glory be to God..I pray every body should be approved soon..

I have been trying to check the status online and I am receiving an error that reads:

"Validation Error(s)

You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:

Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283."

I am entering in the correct number from my ASC notice (I went to the biometric appointment).

Is this typical that some numbers don't show up? Or should I contact the USCIS about this?

Try with the biomatric letter number , Dont try with NOA1 letter number

Try using the second EAC number on your bio notice!

Thanks for the advice, but I had already read on this forum the use of the incorrect numbers. I entered in the correct number. If I use the "wrong" number, it mentions that my request was received and I will receive a biometrics appointment in the mail.

If I use the correct number, I receive the error listed above.

My question was not pertaining to how to enter the data, but if the USCIS site sometimes does not have the data entered into the system properly and users not being able to check their status.

Reading through other posts, it does sound as if this is nothing to worry about as sometimes people receive the card, before their status is even listed online.

I will wait a few more months, and then enquire.
