My first time doing this so don't know if tagging or doing it right but what I do know is this process should never ever put a time expectation on anything. My husband since December 14, 2013 and I have submitted everthing and I mean everything to the USCIS office in Lees' Summit, Missouri which is where we were suppose to. Don't know why because we live in Stockbridge, Georgia. Anyhoo this was since December-January and have heard asolutely NOTHING. We have called, gotten our MSC receipt numbers for I131, I130, I485, I864 and I797 - yeah I know why? It would seem if the documents have receipts numbers there should be documents, no? I mean we told at this point they could be sitting on someone's desk. My husband was immigrant worker already here in the U.S. and it was a matter of Adjusting his status but you know this is your loved one, your spouse or family member and you want to do the right thing. Also I am a Georgia State Detective/Police Officer so I had better do the right thing you know. We had his Biometric interview for photo and fingerprints way back early March. We even were advised to schedule and do the info-pass interview which we did here in Atlanta and that too was a bust. Our documents are not even in our state yet. We are on our 3rd, that's right 3rd request for the National Benefit Center with three service request with reference numbers and all. We were told the two prior reference numbers are no longer any good once a USCIS officer issues another service request and guess what? You all guessed it nothing, not a letter, a phone call, nothing, plain nada - Funny thing is I checked to see when our funds reached USCIS office to when the funds cleared our bank. Ready for this exactly 42 hours from receipt until they got their hands on our funds. Now nada. Don't know how many are experiencing this but I know my husband cannot work, travel or apply for a Georgia drivers license. He has been here in the U.S. exactly one year today (contact work started this date 1 year ago) and you can only drive for one year in Georgia on a international license. So left with no other alternative I have this weekend sent out 23 emails to Washington DC, the Headquarters also to Virginia and to wherever Lee's Summit, Missouri is. Also sent to National Benefits center and who else had a email address posted. I am giving them 10 days and really just ten then trust me my next contact will be a Human Interest story on the NEWS. There should be no reason for anyone to have to wait this long. While I do know there are a lot of persons seeking these preceedings enough is enough. So to all those going thru this look out for the story to air because after day 10 which will be the 18/19 proper News personnel will be contacted. Signed "Richele has had ENOUGH"!

Let us know what day the news story will air. Maybe you can put the story on You Tube too with the " Richele has had enough " title. I don't know why you are waiting to contact the news. CNN is right there for example.

During the Info Pass meeting you learned nothing about the case? Total bust? The physical location of the docs means nothing as they can access the case file anyway or anyhoo if you prefer.

Contact your local politician by find them on line. Send in the required form and wait for them to contact you. They all have staff trained to placate the public but once in awhile they can help. Ask them to help do a news story too.

*sigh* This is my opinion. Anything relating to Immigration will take time. Doesn't if your spouse is illegal or not it will take time. there have been people in the process for 3 or more years. This year will be 4 years since my husband and i have been going through this process. So i'd suggest you speak with an immigration attorney before you go to the news. There are a lot of channels to go through and while i hate it at then end of the day if they don't want to get moving you can't force them to. Good luck.

my opinion is that you filed your forms at the wrong location. spouse AOS should be filed in chicago and it will then be sent to atlanta. your problem is the location of your file. you may have to refile and attach your MSC numbers. call uscis and find out where your file is and how you could refile without paying. my wife came on a work visa filed i130 and all aos forms including i693 on 12/2/13 to chicago and got green card 2/28/14.

or they could be approving you without interview which takes much longer but your 131 and ead would have been approved already.

put in your mscxxxxxxx numbers in this site to see whats happening https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do

Why did you send it to Lees Summit? All AOS packets should be sent to the Chicago lockbox address? I think your case is taking so long due to your mistake. Call and speak to a Tier 2, see if they can locate your file. It's not newsworthy, everyone's case takes the time it takes depending on many factors, including errors made by the filers.

I too am filing from Georgia since February and I'm still waiting... And what I am getting to understand is that immigration proceedings in Georgia take a while because Georgia service centre is also responsible for processing Alabama as well. But this does not seem to be your case, as you filed from December. What is your case status saying online?

12/30/09 became a couple ??

First, as already stated, you delayed the filing by sending it to the wrong place. Sounds like they may have forwarded your case to Chicago for processing.

All the information is scanned into the system so they can see it when you speak to a Tier 2. He had his fingerprints taken in March so it seems you are due for the interview anytime now. Call and speak to a Tier 2 and explain you have been waiting three months since the fingerprints and have not received any mail from them nor the EAD. Also that you are waiting for your interview date. A service request will be made and it takes about 45 days for an answer. Immigration is all about waiting.

not even an EAD card issued? That's one thing you can jump on today -

by calling in - getting an ISO on the phone - and asking for an expedite on the EAD issuance. They will ask you to submit evidence about the expedite request - so be prepared for that [loss of continuation of work - IMO - would be the best evidence to submit]

then

wait a week - call back - get an ISO again - and ask about the status of the EAD Expedite request.

whilst you have that ISO on the phone - that first phone call - explain to them that you sent off the package to the wrong address in Lee's Summit and ask if the casefile is stuck somewhere or got routed to the proper office.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
