I'm so confused, I thought my address error was corrected over the phone then I received this email today:

On July 23, 2014, the post office returned the notice we last sent you on this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS as undeliverable. This may have serious effects on processing this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update your mailing address for this notice to be re-sent.

I believe this must be my NOA1 for my I-485 that I never got.

Then about an hour later I get this e-mail from them:

Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production (Yaay I'm already approved lol)

On July 23, 2014 we mailed the document to the address we have on file. You should receive the new document within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a "green card") or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, employment authorization document, travel document, or advance parole). Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application.

Both e-mails are regarding my I-485 application

I just requested an infopass since this is getting a bit confusing. I believe this document is my NOA for the I-485 or a RFE...

What do you guys think I should do?

Woah! This is super confusing. It could be a mistake on their part. When is your infopass appointment? Can you call the cust service number, maybe they will have quicker answers.

I did call them but the customer service representative refused to transfer me to an immigration officer, she told me I needed to wait 15 days as a request was already made but she did say I could get an infopass. The earliest one the had was Aug 6. I'm going to wait for this "document" and see what it is.

I just randomly decided to check the I-485 Status on the uscis website, and it says its in TESTING & INTERVIEW! Which is weird because I still haven't received the text and email updates. I wonder when they'll send the interview date and such

Same here! I just checked my status and mine is changed to Testing and Interview. I haven't received any notification for it and everything else (I-130 and I-765) are still the same (Initial Review).

Biometrics done! The place was practically empty and I'm sure we could've done a successful walk-in earlier. But I just had major surgery two weeks ago and wasn't up for the long car ride only to possibly be turned away.

The officer who took his biometrics was very friendly and I could tell she thought we were a cute couple. I hope our interviewing officer is like her!

After getting that done, we returned home to a RFE. Since the instructions didn't specify to send my husband's Arabic birth certificate, we only sent the translated (certified) copy. Whoops. Easily remedied mistake, although I hope it doesn't set us back too much.

Exciting to see so many people moving on to the testing and interview stage!

The instructions asks for the original copy as well. I mean a copy of the original birth certificate. By the way, I am also in Testing and interview (Been on this step for a week now). Seeing the mailing issues other people had I had to say that early this week I received my NOA1 for my Advance parole document application (Never got that one). Apparently it was returned to sender as undeliverable, and the office sent it again twice! Finally it got here almost a month after the EAD and the AOS notices.

Apparently there's a different between Testing & Interview stage vs. Testing & Interview scheduling stage? Has anyone experienced the change between the two? We're currently in the scheduling stage and are wondering if we still might get an RFE before our interview is scheduled. Or do they keep you in the Initial Review stage until all the RFEs have been settled?

Looking at the May filers time line, it looks like the normal lag time between the T&I stage, and interview scheduling is anywhere from one to three weeks. I received a text that my case was moved to T&I two weeks ago, and I am still waiting for an interview date. Supposedly the lag is based on how busy your field office is. Good luck, and I hope we both get interview dates soon.

I have previously asked a question about whether or not to expect an RFE after moving to the T&I stage, and the answer was to expect an RFE at any time.
