lol!!!no internent connection for day,got my p4 email on June 25,interview date August 25.hubby is planning to request for an earlier date in aug so dat the children will meet up with school resumption hoping that will make sense to the dwheels and tracked my visa case,still at nvc is this normal?it hasn't been shipped yet.Thanks

Belated congratulations and another thanks for your blog. I went back and read "letter to NVC employees" several times.

Did you ever find out why your interview is so far off? Sorry about that and best wishes towards getting one sooner.

Thank YOU! When I wrote that post, I was HOT that day!

When I made my final call to NVC the other night, Agent Don told me they schedule interviews "we put people in where ever we can". Perhaps I'm reading too much into it, but he could have just said "that was the next available slot when it was your turn for interview schedule." The fact that he didn't state that makes me wonder....

We're probably not going to shoot for an earlier date, we go back & forth between trying and just letting it go lol I'll keep everyone updated with what we decide to do! :-D

You can't track if you have no idea when it left NVC if it did. You need to call and ask NVC when it left if that's what you want to do. You request a earlier date after your petition has got to the embassy. That's why tracking is so key.

Until it gets their there's nothing you can do.

In my case, I could use DHL tracking the day after my status changed to "in transit". The day my status changed to "in transit" was the day NVC shipped my package. It arrived to the consulate 2 days after NVC shipped it. Oh, and DHL works on Saturdays

hey CC'ers, can you share what your CC email looked like?

i got an email today from NVC, not sure if it's the CC email. It looked like your typical checklist email but said:

______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________

The NVC has received the information you submitted and placed it in your case file. You will be

contacted when your petition is sent to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate for further processing.
