hi

I have to summit I-864 for my spouse but i lost tax returns of 2011.. Will it be fine if i send just 2011 tax return transcript ?

any response will be much appreciated

Past years income tax returns are optional. What they want to see is the most recent, 2013.

i think its not optional that is why it is clearly mentioned on website to pay tax returns of 3 years.

You must provide either an IRS transcript or a photocopy from your own records of your Federal individual income tax return for the most recent tax year. If you believe additional returns may help you to establish your ability to maintain sufficient income, you may submit transcripts or photocopies of your Federal individual income tax returns for the three most recent years.

Your 2011 IRS transcript will be accepted. Attach also the W2 for each years.

Poppycock. The affidavit asks for information from three tax returns. This information can come from the return or from a Tax Return Transcript. Read carefully, interpret literally and answer accurately. You'll see on the affidavit itself where "providing" more than one tax return is optional. Providing information from three, when required to have filed all three, is what is NOT optional.
