What does the RFE say exactly? Can you type it here or scan and post the RFE letter with personal information removed?

Is this triple quoting of the OP's message intended to be constructive to this thread conversation? KayDeeCee simply asked for the exact text of the RFE message, in order to assist the member with their inquiry.

I was thinking the same thing. Might be a friend of the OP's.

>To Supu, would you mind posting the exact RFE wording here, so anybody with similar experience can chime in? There are different variations of RFE, and as you know each case can vary.

The way the post is worded it sounds like they are wanting affidavits to show the marriage is bonafide but that would be very unusual so I agree with the others we need to know exactly what the RFE said, more likely it is related to the I-864.

If the OP's profile is correct then they wouldn't have an I-130 as they are adjusting from a K1, with AOS it is extremely unusual to get an RFE for bonafide marriage, in fact I don't think I've ever seen it. Usually they just ask for that at the interview and then if you don't have sufficient then they may issue an RFE.

I have been asked to submit the same thing last week. Uts like they won't approve your I-130 untill you submit your prof of bonafide marriage. Thats what my lawyer told me!

The OP's timeline says they are adjusting from a K-1 visa. They do not file an I-130 and provide proof of marriage. Your case is not the same as someone that entered the US with a family based visa.

I asked for the details of the RFE because it is very unusual for someone adjusting from a K-1 to be asked for proof of relationship/marriage. The only proof of marriage needed when filing from a K-1 visa is a copy of the marriage certificate. If they are given an interview, then that is when you would take evidence of marriage. Even still, affidavits from friends and family are not primary proof of marriage and tend not to hold much weight. So, I am interested to know exactly what the OP's RFE says. I am seriously curious as to why the USCIS would request such affidavits from them.
