I-130 for Stepson Approved Now What?

The case is forwarded to NVC and it's already in their system. I got my NVC Case # too. I just filled out the DS-261 and paid for AOS Fee. What do I do next? Am I suppose to receive anything from NVC on what to do next? Thanks in advance.

when you paid, online, at the NVC Payment portal,

there are links there with instructions for what to do, how to do, when to do. Expect NVC to NOT send you stuff via postal mail.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Does anyone know if the letter from the other biological parent must be submitted to NVC before they schedule the interview?

YES it does back in 2007 They ( NVC ) sent an RFE to us for not having this letter. Delayed us about 45 days. Also be sure to check the exit requirments from your country once the child/ren get the visa as this can hold up the exit from their country. We had to go the the Colombian emabassy in NY and have the Mom ( Yes she was here is US Long story ) send a paper to colombia saying the kids could leave the country with only one parent.

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?

May I ask how old your kid was? My stepson is 16. I was about to submit the docs but now I am not sure. Maybe I should get the letter now, at least a scanned version by email?

The children were 15 and 11 at the time
