K1 entry by sea

I have been debating lately getting the QM2 across the Atlantic instead of flying. Without money and length of time being an issue, I was wondering if anyone had done this using the K1 visa?

Hey guys,

I have yet to see any topics like this and can't find anything about it on Google.. My fiancé has an irrational fear of flying (even though he's been on 6 flights in the past 2 years), so he is looking into taking a cruise ship from England to America to come over on the K-1. I am unaware of what the border situation would be like with that and if they would be asking to see visas and whatnot like when you are in the airport. I understand this might be vague and might vary by cruise line? Since he would be coming over on the K-1, we would need to make sure this would be allowed and his entry would be accepted. Does anyone have any information regarding this?

I read some post a while back about this on VJ. Some member here said it is okay - he had some fear about flying too-. He did not encounter any problem at all. Let me find you the post.
