we have the same interview schedule but i still dont have the letter yet so i dont know what time and if it will be the same as your in Sacramento... :)

Oh, hey! Yeah, they supposedly just mailed the letter today, so I have no idea what time it will be. I don't even know if it will be in Sac. I tried to put in a change of address, which would put us closer to SF or San Jose, but it doesn't seem to have gone through for the 485. Which is fine, I still have access to my old address and mailbox (tho not for long), and we can just as easily drive to Sac as get into SF from here.

We waited for almost 30 ro 35 minutes, and I saw all other couples with the 8 am appointment as well walked by, I was getting very anxious, when he finally came he was nice, extended his hand and introduced himself, we walked together to the elevator, once in the correct floor he showed us the waiting are and told us to have a sit.

Another 10 min wait...

He comes out and tells me to get into the office, my husband tried to follow and he said no, just her.. I got really scared, I together the worst... Once I sat he canceled my visa, asked me how I met my husband, I said online. Then he asked, I see you used to come and go, from Mexico to usa really often, why? I answered because I have friends and I came on vacation...

Next question was, in what University did you get your degree, I said "Universidad del Valle de Mexico" what's you major he said, Hospitality management and business administration...

Typing, typing and more typing...

Is your daughter currently in the states? Yes

Did you bring pictures?

Yes

Give them to me I need to keep them in my file

Do you have any other bona fide documents?

Yes, my car insurance in both names, my car's survivor title on my husband's name, and my son's Borth certificate that I forgot to include...

He said, oh do you have a son?

Yes sir...

He stood up walk to the door and said, Charles come get your wife, stamped my passport, told me my GC will be sent in 3 weeks, said good luck and walked us out...

All this happened in less than 15 minutes!!!

Hello everybody!

I had my interview this morning and everything went great. We arrived at 7am since our interview was scheduled at 7:30. We were the first in the room and they called us at 7:20 to start the process.

First, we took the oath and after that, the officer went through the application that I submitted. Asked me about my personal info, then my husband's and after that, went through the questions that concern national security (all no).

Once we were done with that part, the officer, which btw was supeeeer nice and made us feel comfortable, asked how we met, when did our relationship turned romantic, if we remembered our first date and where. He also asked about joint assets, and I gave him a binder where I had all that. He actually went through the whole binder where I've also included all the stuff from trips, insurance, letters to our house, etc. Basically all the supporting documentation. He then asked about our wedding, where, when, who attended, and if we had pictures. Gave him both albums, the one with the wedding and reception and another one with pics from friends, family, trips and daily life.

Once we were done with that, he said he was going to make copies of some of the documents (my husband's last two paystubs), passport, some of my visa paperwork and pictures. He came back and said that he was going to review all the paperwork, but that everything looked great and that I should get an email during the day after he makes sure everything is there, that my card is in production.

Left the office, went for breakfast with my husband and when I arrived home, I had the USCIS emails saying that my case has moved onto card production. The officer said that I should get the card in aprox. 10 days.

IF anyone has questions, feel free to ask, even though each case is different, I asked my friends before and went there knowing the process. So far, the experience was amazing, reading about my office, they said officers were rude, even my friends that went there, but I guess it was my lucky day and got the nicest officer.

Maychicago - it feels that way doesn't it?? My EAD hasn't been sent yet, neither has my interview notice.

I called today, and they had no info, so my husband (the USC) will call next Monday and ask for a tier 2 person.

They looked up the processing times, and stated that they are working on last december's applications. But, timelines here show people who submitted AOS applications have had interviews at our field office from applications submitted as recent as April.

So one more week as my hubby will try. I'd like to have a clue when our interview will be - my passport expires in October an I'd like to get it renewed ASAP, but don't want it gone for the interview. For obvious reasons...
