Number in the range of 22200 Do I have a chance

Check out past years' data: http://www.dv-info.site40.net/ it seems like 22000 is not a bad number for Africa. They usually get past it by Feb or March.

Hi all, so useful to have this forum! I have two questions, if you could please help me: my fiance has got a DV2015of around 38,000, is it too high ofr italy?

and, second question: as far as you know, does the time of filing all the required papers affect your opportunity to get your appontiment? it's odd, but he had to ask to correct his passport as his name was written wrong (!!) and this is taking a bit of time...we're really worried but he didn't want to submit the submission with a wrong documentation! if you could help us in claryfing something it would be great! thanks!

It's a relatively high number but judging by this year also a relatively safe one. Interview will be quite late so plenty of time to wait for corrected passport; it is indeed much better to make sure that everything on the DS form is correct.

Now, because this inevitably comes up, are you going to get married before the interview? (Please say yes.)

Hi there! thanks for answering so quikly! well, we've been thinking really long about getting married, long before the DV came up! but now we're wondering if it would be ok for the KC or if it could affect his process...because if it would, then i' ll try to reach him after he'd get his green card (if it happen), do you have any clue?

I asked that because you said fiancé implying you would get married anyway. So the situation is this: if you marry before the interview, you send updated DS forms and a copy of the marriage certificate to KCC. They will want to be sure it is not a "green card marriage" so you must take evidence that it is a bona fide relationship to the interview, but it sounds like that will not be a problem at all. Then if your fiancé-then-husband gets a GC, you get one too. If you do not marry first, he goes alone and becomes an LPR. It is then a much longer and much more expensive process to get you over; he will also have to be able to show that he is earning enough to support both of you before any such application is approved.

How accurate are these Data? 2005 starts with 9600? It must be 960.

Anyways, according to the Web Site, 2005 and 2014 had the lowest Cut-off numbers for AS. There's lots of uncertainty for DV2015. We may no longer see "Current".

My case number is AS 5xxx, my guess is that it would be around May 2015. However, in DV 2010-2012, around 8K were processed in first month. Why was that and would 2015 be like 2013 and 2014?

I think that is because Bangladesh was still eligible till DV2012. It had a very high rejection rate of visas, so they would have had higher cut offs for a given amount of expected visa issuances.

Edit: it's also a bit confusing that you have an AS number but list Egypt as your country. Were you born elsewhere and currently resident in Egypt?
