Congratulations to Hollyday and others! Hollyday, when you say "Case Completed" 28/03/2014, was that the date you received the e-mail notification, or was that the day they actually finished reviewing your case (and the e-mail came later)? Yesterday, I called the NVC and was told the New Hampshire office had just finished reviewing the case for my wife and stepson, and the next step is to set up their interviews in Moscow. I hope they will schedule them soon, but I have no idea when they will be...

And is there any possible way to expedite the process? Summer is coming quickly and I'd like to bring them here ASAP!

Case complete comes two ways people either call or get the email. That is the date either way you put. The email always comes a week later thus the call because we just got to know right.

As far as scheduling next should start the July round of interviews. If you want to request an expedite you can surely request. NVC is very strict life or death, deployment all that. But you can always ask, all they can say is no.

so is their any chances to get late June interview ?

Can the petitioner living the U.S. make the VAC appointment for photos and fingerprints for the beneficiary online at the given website? (They tell you to do it online in the package the beneficiary receives in mail?

And also my husband will have to travel 8 hours to the New Delhi embassy for his interview and that is the where he has to make the VAC appointment in New Delhi... So can he make the VAC appointment like 1-2 days before his interview date so he can do both and not travel there two times??

Sometimes i think they make some things vague to weed out the fake non committed people. I have know of a few couples who stopped the whole process because the documentation was just too much for them.

Really they just had a jack relationship the immigration process process as we all know will break or make your relationship.

Can I get a AMEN!! hehe

Well, LOL LOL The thing is my parents are close to 70 and I am not worried about my self, but you know if they have to travel again to submit additional papers they wont like it very much. Thanks anyway

Our case was complete on 16th May but the NVC told that the interview slots for June are filled and we would be getting an early July date.

Where did you refer to the 18th June date? VJ interview spreadsheet or else where?

According to my wife, the embassy was a crowded place. (She was surprised that this is US embassy ) It was due to DV lottery winners, almost all the others were DV winners. And the fingerprint machine was having some issues as well. So I kinda lean in to your thought. Plus the others who were there also asked to come in 2 weeks time.

Here is what I gathered on the interview:-

She walked in to the embassy, got though the security and walked in side. After she is in, asked to go to one counter and they collected the certificates, passport, and my tax return transcript for 2013.

Then came back and sat for sometime. Then called for another place to get the fingerprints. Came back to the seat.

Then after sometime called for the interview, went inside the room and CO said the fingerprinting machine having issues and requested to wait (in apologetic way).

After 1.5 hrs, she was called again. The whole interview didn't take much long and asked 3-4 questions in a friendly manner. In fact CO was smiling/laughing all the time and making jokes. When she walked in he asked "who's xxxxx (My name)" and she replied "that is my husband" & he started laughing....

Asked "whether I'm sending any money?" "How do we communicate with each other?" When she replied "via Skype", he asked for chat transcripts which she didn't bring. However, she had chat transcripts from google and presented that. That all I can think of.... All and all these are just general kinda questions...

It's all about attitude of the interviewee. Don't be afraid, be positive, keep smiling... That's all!!!

Huh? I thought DV2015 winners have to wait until October 1st (start of 2015 fiscal year) before they are even given a visa # and an interview date!!!!

Ohhh why idls that so? They usually display tge list of whole month. It means that something surprising is there?

Hello All,

My wife went for visa interview today afternoon and was approved!!! :dance:

Issued letter saying "Visa tentatively approved" and asked to come back on June 05th to collect the passport and documents. Is this normal?

Yes, the petitioner can make an appointment, I just did for my parents. I believe it should be fine if your spouse does his VAC appt 2 days before the interview.

Had to do it as I live in Kerala currently and wanted to avoid going to Mumbai twice - for the VAC appointment. and then the interview.

I am getting my medicals done much ahead of schedule in Kerala at a medical center authorized by the Mumbai consulate.
