Do any of you call when or write corporate when you get really great customer service. I got really great customer service at Northern tool yesterday Am, and I called to let them know.

I bought a pressure washer. The clerk was so cheerful, showed me all the features, explained the service policy, went and got me quick connect fittings. really rare these days.

If I get good service, I get their business card and pass it around. I also make it a point to use word of mouth to uptalk their business. And I might do a review for them on their website or call just to say so.

Good customer service from a chick? Unheard of!!! This is amazing!

All jokes aside, what did you buy me?

a 3000 PSI 2.5 GPM pressure washer Great deal at Northern Tool

The funny part. I asked for help and a skid to load it, as it was very heavy.

They sent over this amazing young girl Who grabbed a buggy to put it on. I told ehr the buggy was too high. She said no problem I can get it by myself. I helped her, but she then offred to follow me to the truck to help me load it. I was so shamed as I am a big guy and was power lifting 4 years ago.

It's almost an obligation to let companies know when they and their employees have exceeded expectations.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I once called a restaurant to tell them what great service my husband and I received the previous evening. I was met with confusion and "Oh.. um.. okay, I'll pass that along.... thanks? Is there anything you want?"

Like nobody had ever called and complimented them before and they assumed I was trying to get something.

I make it a habit. When provided excellent service = I ask to speak with a manger on duty because I want to report on the excellent service just received. That way - peers & management know the beneficiary got props.

We should all "pay it forward" one way or another.

(& if the kudos goes to a waiter or waitress...return visit usually guarantees a circle back in the form of something on the house. :) )

I agree. Everything seems to be about the negative these days. I think it's great to acknowledge someone when they've done a good job.

I have either called or e-mailed a number of different companies when receiving excellent service. I will also right a review for said business (usually restaurants) when the situation arises. But I also do the same for sub-par service.

I like to do it if I can. I'll usually seek out a manager before I leave whatever establishment I'm at and let them know. I'll make sure to repeat business, etc. Though it happens so infrequently now...

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.
