Any Dec/2013 (or earlier) filers without NOA2?

I submitted my I-129F on Dec 16, 2013, and received NOA1 on Dec 19, 2013.

On Dec 24, 2013, Alien Number was assigned, but since then I've heard nothing.

If you have received NOA2 or further in processing, you need NOT reply to this message

because I mainly want to see only those that filed Dec/2013 or earlier but still waiting for NOA2 like me.

The USCIS web site status says that they are performing background checks...so it sounds like

the profile and qualification of applicants could matter in how quickly the visa gets processed.

Both myself and fiancee (in China) are college educated, working professionals, living middle income lives,

and have no health issues or criminal records.

I realize USCIS wants to be thorough in weeding out unqualified candidates,

but man...how clean do you have to be to get this processing moving?

It's been stuck at NOA1 for over 3 months now. Arggggg~~~~!!!!

Please let me know if you are also stuck at NOA1 for more than 3 months currently.

I am at 3 months and 5 days, both college educated and working good jobs...we were last updated January 6 with an Alien registration #, other than that I've heard nothing. You can follow the December K1 filers thread...they update often there. You're at TSC and they're moving ridiculously slow. I looked at the trends for VJ members and of the 6 people from my country (Morocco) who filed in December only 3 were approved, 2 from CSC and 1 from TSC and that was only just last week. There's nothing we can do until we hit 5 months, I guess thats when we're allowed to complain.

There's still multiple ones of us from November waiting, some from October too. I've seen on here, that they basically set us on piles, and they won't do anything until someone picks up that pile and starts to work on it :/

You are now eligible to call USCIS and officially ask them to investigate your case.

I called USCIS today, and they told me the same old recording-like answer...

"sir, the normal processing time for I-129F petition is 5 months.

Ugh...It's so annoying but yes, I'm with you as far as hanging out in the dark. It just irritates me beyond that CSC is moving through these I129F petitions like crazy and TSC is on the total opposite end of the spectrum. I am almost anxious for the 5 month mark to be here because at least then you can get politicians involved and from what it APPEARS to be is that once they step in, your case all of a sudden gets pushed along. I guess for me the most irritating part is the lack of information or any inkling of what they're doing or when they expect to be done. Thank you and good luck to you too

4 months since NOA1 today here and still no update besides my ARN# back on November 27th. Very frustrating indeed that they just put us aside and let someone deal with it later it seems.

I hope we all get approvals before the 5 month period. I really do not want to have to call and deal with them. Our case is fairly straight forward.. Two 20 something's with plenty of evidence to be in a bonafide relationship, no prior marriage, no criminal history. I do not understand how some people were approved so much sooner.

I guess we just keep our heads up until 5 months then we can call and them out!

Me too. I filed January 21st and there is no word other than in processing stage. Nothing one can do until the 5 months is up I suppose. Its sitting in the TSC

I'm still waiting for my 5 months timeline before calling them again.

Calling them twice before didn't get me anywhere.

They keep telling me to wait until 5 months passes, then they can investigate the case.

Hello. We got our NOA1 at the end of December. I (the benficiary) recently changed address so I sent a letter to USCIS to notify them of it a couple of weeks ago. Today, my fiance phoned to check they had received it and to also see how our petition is going. He waited on hold for a while and then got through to someone who looked at our case. I think they'd received my letter and she made the change to my address.

She said our case was progessing just fine and they are in the process of doing the background checks. As my fiance has lived in several states over the last few years, she said this could take a little while. She told him that background checks take 4 months and that it will be another couple of months for everything to be done, so June. Which is over the 5 months.

So not great news, but it was reassuring to know they are actually doing something with our petition and it hasn't been forgotten about!

Thank you for the update. Our 5 month mark is on Friday so I already reached out to both Texas State Senators. They received our inquiries about our petitions and will be looking into it I think next week. I will also start calling the USCIS TSC starting next week.
