Hello vj members, i sent my photo and letter of intent and g-325a to my fiancee cause we are going to send the k-1 package by next week but i have a concern about the passport photo i did read as well as my fiancee also when she took her passport photo in post office in the us they told her not to smile cause in passport photo ur not suppose to smile, but unfortunitally the one i sent to my fiancee it fit all the passport photo requirements 2 inch and white background and everything but i was smiling in it so do you think i have to send another photo not smiling or it doesnt matter? i would appreacite any answer from members who knows about this.

It says here you must have a neutral expression:

Get another photo done and send it to your fiancee :)

Your passport photo did NOT meet the photo requirements. One of the requirements is the photo must be:

  • With a neutral facial expression and both eyes open

You will have to resubmit a photo that meets the requirements.

You can smile. The examples themselves have people smiling. Neutral doesn't preclude smiling as long as it is not a super cheesy grin.

Ahh you are right. As long as the smile itself isn't exaggerated and is just a normal smile, it should be ok.
