Hi there everyone. I am new to this site. I do have a question and i don't know what to do. Please help me.

I have a boyfriend from Orlando, Florida for 3 months now. We've known early this year like first week of January. He will be coming here this end of May and wants to marry me here in Cebu City, Philippines. It is his first time visiting here and my our first time to meet. I want to ask how can we start this spousal visa since he want to get me before the year ends? We don't know anything how to process. Can someone help us please? He don't like the fiancee visa since it says that a lot of paper works to do.

The whole process is a lot of paperwork and unlikely that you'll be there before the year ends.

There are a lot of do it yourself guides on this website. If he doesn't like paperwork then he's going to have lots of fun whether you file for a spousal or fiancé visa. Paperwork is the name of the game sadly!

With a spousal visa, it's more paperwork, more time, and less money for greencard in hand.

Still, it doesn't matter, as he is adamant about not doing any research or filling out any paperwork.

Good Luck To You !

The process takes about 12 months. If you get married and start the process in May of this year. You should be able to get to the US by the middle or end of 2015.

Send this link to your boyfriend. He has a lot of work to do, and this will get him started. http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide1

He wants you there by the end of the year? I suggest a fiance visa instead.

It's just as much paperwork for a spousal visa. HOw are you going to prove a genuine relationship after only having met once?

Most cases in Philippines getting fast-tracked because of the hurricane. I'm not sure how long this will last, but if that is still going on when you apply, you could be done in 3-4 months. The rest of us will be waiting much longer.

K1 might be a bit faster, but you might raise some red flags because of the short time-span of your relationship.

Read the guides in the link on top of this page. As others said, this is all about paperwork. He can get an attorney who can deal with a bit of the paperwork in exchange for $$$, but he'll still need to gather the documents. Attorney's are humans and make mistakes too....

Hi, If your boyfriend doesn't want to mess up with too much paperwork, I suggest him to get immigration lawyer to take care of your case. My hubby and I have an immigration lawyer and she is actually doing a good job with all the stuff. We just gather the documents and get the payments done ourselves but the heavy work of the processing is done by the attorney. It does cost us a little bit much but our case is quite complicated since we are both busy with our jobs and both of us are overseas. I also would like you to be prepared because immigration is very specific with the foundation of any relationship and thus, having a short-term relationship will definitely spike some red flags! Goodluck!

Follow the instructions on the USEMBASSY (Philippines) its quite a process and

requires some time to complete. My recommendation is to try and get some of

the work done before he arrives.

hi, like what kind of work i need to do now before he arrives? since i did already everything here before getting married
