Hello There vj members

My interview date is inn and its set for next month...My wife who is USC wants to accompany me to my interview..Will that be possible..My appointment letter stayed clearly that im the only person who is eligible to attend the interview..I really want my wife there with me that day people..how do i go about this..please help and any suggestion will be appreciated..Its been a long way till now...please help me..Thank you

She can come to consulate with you but most of the embassies will not let the spouse in. So you will have to take the interview by yourself. Good luck :)

From your information page yes she can attend and go in Embassy with you. Email the embassy and give them her name so they can also send you a letter

It's consulate specific, but most countries allow the spouse in for the interview, I was allowed to and attended my husbands

The part in bold is correct; however, most Embassies/Consulates do not allow it.

Our journey:

September 2007: Met online via social networking site (MySpace); began exchanging messages.
March 26, 2009: We become a couple!
September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!
June 21, 2010: Engaged!!!
September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!
February 18, 2011: Wedding ceremony in Shiyan!!!
April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)
April 29, 2011: Updated
May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

July 23, 2025:  Filed N-400 online

Congrats! What is your timeline?

-Met in Ghana August 2011

-Went back to Ghana April 2012

-Went back to Ghana December 2012

-Married to the man God created just for me on January 4th, 2013.

-Filed the CR-1 in February 2013

-Petition Transfered from National Benefits Center to Texas Service Center October 2013

-Petition APPROVED January 2014 (*Took 10 Months 19 Calendar Days)

-Case Number/Invoice Identification Number Assigned February 2014 (*Took 33 Calendar Days)

-Approved Interview May 2014

-Arrival May 2014

Now, We are Prayerfully taking everything 1 day at a time. Thanking God for his blessings and grace.

Thank you friends and will do as u guys have said..i think it will be possible for her to come with me to my interview..But GAFL..we filed CR-1..I will update everything fully after my interview and my experience..

Thanks friends..well do i have to email the Ghanaian Embassy to let them know my wife will be coming with me for the interview...How please..all suggestions will be appreciated ???
