Adorable actually WAS the word that came to mind! Definitely keep the blue for toon-Saylin!

Filled out the 260 last night for the most part, not submitted yet as my wifes passport isnt back from the mail yet. Would it be helpful to people if I took screen shots of it or does that already exist somewhere?

Alos, it asks where our intended residence will be once in the USA, what if we dont know? Can we just put an existing address in there even though we are going to move in the future before we go through the POE? Thanks.

Yes it does exist, CHANGNOI posted it.

here is a little tidbit of K3 info incase anyone cares compliments of the very nice women who took my call from the NVC.

K-3 and adoption cases have priority when logging them in to the NVC. They get case numbers and then get sent to the emabssies or final destination. Mail and DHL arrive all day long at the NVC. Not just 10am and 2pm like FEDEX. She told me they hear over the intercom all day long that there is a delivery of some sort because the doors have to be opened. She told me to keep calling.

She said for an I-130, allow 30 days to get a case number. I told her to throw my I-130 in a dusty corner ( she laughed)

She also wished me luck on my K3. Such a nice lady. I wish they all could be that way.

and just incase y'all are wondering... I have my heart set on the K3 but I hang here because knowledge is power and if I get stuck going the I-130 route then I should have more knowledge than my lawyer. He has done NOTHING for the last 12 months and I emailed him 3 times asking how he wants his next payment.... Cash in person or can I fedex a check... but haven't heard a peep. If we didn't need an I-601 waiver, he'd be eating my dust.... If your case is straight forward, there is no need for a lawyer.

Pls dwheels in the ds-260 form, there's a question that says do you have any documentation for vaccinations received according to the U.S laws.what vaccinations is it talking about?,and what reply am I supposed to give there?

The vaccinations required to immigrate here. If the beneficiary doesn't have them and/or the documentation to show it, then check 'no' and just explain they don't have it. Nothing to worry about as if you're missing anything, it'll be done at the medical.

Oh sweet memories. I remember when I got my case# I ordered a rubber stamp ( I had extra evidence to send in. 1291 pages worth).

So yes you should write on every page (Not the original documents (write on a sticky note case# and attach.

Can we write the case number on the original documents with a pencil? And that was a whopping amount of evidence!

11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.

4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.

Ohhh, I'm sorry, when you initially said "form", I thought you were referring to the new form I just put together for requests on the spreadsheets :bonk: To answer your initial question, I'd suggest never leaving anything blank. Depending on the question, write 'none' or 'N/A'.

Thanks so much Saylin. You are an angel to me. muahhhh

Ms. Saylin has already responded to you. Let me add a few more things here.

Please review this document from the US-Consulate Mumbai. You will get a very good idea of which vaccinations you will need and the fees involved for each vaccination

http://photos.state.gov/libraries/mumbai/395145/pereirals/Panel-Physicians-Updated13Dec2013.pdf

My wife (and her parents) could not locate the paperwork for her vaccinations. I answered NO about vaccinations on DS-260. So either she will get the vaccinations at the time of Medical or she will go to a local vaccination clinic and start getting them while waiting for the interview. That way she won’t need to take all these vaccinations all on the same day during Medical. Needless to say that the vaccinations at the medical are substantially more expensive than local clinics.

 Yup, I always recommend getting the vaccines done ahead of time as it's usually much cheaper than the panel physician!

Yup!

Case number should be written on the top right of all documents (except the bar-coded cover sheet and cover letter) for both packages. The purpose of this is in case a paper gets lost, it can easily find its way back to the case if it has the case number on it.

Yes that is a good idea - that way if for some reason a page gets misplaced they know exactly which file it goes with. -

Saylin ya beat me to it!

:ot: Just a side note - you can go into settings and hide comments/messages from specific users :content:

is answering NO for the vaccination related question on DS-260 a problem? should one make a note that "will receive vaccinations at medical"?

Not a problem.

Yes good idea to state that will receive the needed vaccination medical.

Best of Luck!!
