Its the green card processing fee. You can pay after you receive your visa and up to 1 year after. Not a visa fee.

And you pay the $165 on the ELIS website. You will get instructions when you pick up Via and passport

Does this mean you can pay after POE? I guess they won't give you your green card if you didn't pay?

i was told by a representative at the NVC yesterday when i called and he told me that my petition is in transit but whenever i check the CEAC website i see it is still at the nvc not in transit...is this normal ?

Mine is still showing at the NVC. They have one month to deliver it so I hope it should be fine.

My spouse had her interview and was approved. Questions were the usual ones posted here in other forums.

One other thing that I wasn't aware of was that they handed back some pics and docs that I had sent for I 130. I thought that they only gave back the docs that was sent at the NVC stage.

Yes you can pay after POE up to a year from POE. But no green card until you pay.

Okay they don't always update every thing. I wouldn't rely heavily on what the website says. If they said they send it should be there in 5 to 7 days. Sometimes NVC updates sometimes the embassy. Just relax you are almost there.

Awesome Congratulations. And yes its amazing that stuff can make it all through USCIS to NVC to half way across the world (sometimes).

Instructions:
If you want to share your case complete and interview dates:
1. Go to LAST PAGE or before and click "Quote/Reply" on the MOST RECENT LIST.
2. Ask for help only if you will mess up the list
3. Please make sure you are using Rich Text Editor as your message setting(Settings>Posting Settings->Enable visual (RTE))
4. Remove
