Yes, will call by tomorrow if they ship our docs to USEm already. So, you think because of expedites it might cause backlogs? And by the way, how many days from case complete for NVC to email me the appointment letter? Thank you so much! I hope I get an April interview.

No your docs aren't going anywhere. They will stay at NVC until you get your interview date. Then they get shipped to embassy.

I would think with all the expedites they are filling fast. You ask how long it takes? It takes as long as it takes. It's all about where you are in the queue. Like I said they just finished April. May will start last week of this month. Probably about the 28th.

Depending where you are in the queue you will get a slot or have to wait no one knows. Now you just wait.

Well first look over your P4 letter and see if they are asking you to bring anything. Aside form evidence ad such I would advise everyone with upcoming interviews to have 2013 taxes done and in the beneficiaries hands for interview.

Some embassies are already delaying approval of Visa waiting. So have 2013 in hands, if you just filled and no tax transcripts make sure you have all tax forms, W2 you know.

Copies of everything you sent to NVC is wise also but hopefully everyone made a copy before they sent off.

Here is the ELIS sight where you will go create an account register your Visa # and pay the $165 for the processing of your Green Card.

Now to explain, YES you do get a stamp in passport at POE that also should verify you are now a LPR (Legal Permanent Resident) and you can go get a job, get drivers license all that.

Unfortunately many places in US are stupid and not educated on immigration things and immigrants and documents. Many places even employers I have read have been known to refuse employment for lack of a physical green card. Or refuse even a SS card because you have no green card. Like how dumb are they!!

Personally I would tell everyone to just pay the fee before you leave for the US and once you land and the CBP checks you in at the airport that kicks off production of your card. It should arrive in 3 to 8 weeks (usually like 3 t 5 weeks).

You will be given instructions when you pick up your Visa (or the embassy gives, not sure). You will be set to go.

So when do you think is the best time to call NVC to ask if they already have a schedule for us?Since my case complete was Monday, I think I'll give them a call next Monday to check, or do you think its too soon since you said,they might only start giving out schedules last week of this month. One more question, aren't we supposed to receive an email from NVC that says our case is completed and to wait for the schedule of the interview? Because I didn't received one yet.

Today I checked the CEAC website for my case with my NVC case number and it is still under AP,.... BUT,.... with the 221(g) control number _I got from the Embassy which starts with 2014xxxxxx_ I found out it said "ISSUED" . My passport is with me and not with the Embassy.

Is that a good sign??. Now I don't know what should I do, just wait to get a contact from the Embassy, or send them my passport?!

The case complete email will come 7 days from your case complete. You can call NVc anytime to ask are they finished with April scheduling. Cuz if there was a slot and you were next you would get it. The P4 (interview email) usually comes within 24 hrs.

You need to get in contact with your embassy to see where to send your passport if thats what is next. Congratulations.

My wife got her visa yesterday! Got my flights to go to her and bring her back this weekend and at the airport now. Funny thing... I waited almost 1 year for her to get a visa and now my flight is delayed by 3 hours. Grrr. I'm about ready to start swimming
