So this is what I received together with the usual other stuff about where to call, look for updates on the case etc...in other words a lot of words saying nothing

The notice would mean they want me to wait 7 months since application before I contact them again....

On (I inquired exactly 5 months 1 week after USCIS receipt), you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your I129F
to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing
time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be
resolved.

Your case is currently under review and is actively being processed by an
officer. You should receive a decision or notice of other action within 60 days
of the date of this letter.

I got the Congressman's office involved at the beginning of last month and they contacted the TSC. The TSC acknowledged the contact from the Congressman's office on 11th June and updated this on their website. The TSC sent a reply letter back saying........

You should receive a decision or notice of other action within 30 days of the date of this letter......

Its the same wording received by others but only stating 30 days and not 60 or 90 days. Not sure what the difference is but if anybody has an idea then let me know.

Thank you for your reply ! And yes, it is hell - waiting waiting!!

and all the power out of our hands for the most important thing in our lives.

Its nice knowing other people going through the same thing.

Are you saying that it took them a month to process people who applied on 3rd Dec ?!

or that is where they are in the queue - that they are up to Dec 3 so the 5 months wait time has been pushed back

to really 8 months?!?!

I am going to call the customer service tomorrow - the # they have listed on their website, but from reading other peoples

posts - it doesnt seem like they tell you much. Is it important to get a senator involved - does this help the process at the 5 month mark?

thank you :)

If you didnt pass the 6 months, they will tell you , you are still in the processing time. belive me. so yes, I think they jumpt from 5 months to 8 months, every friday, my fiancee call TCS and same BS every time "we work at december 3th, I dont have acces at more informations". I start to think they work 1 month for 1 day fillers. Anyway....I think now, when we passed the 6 months we can make finally a service request ! I just hope they will NOT pass us to the 8 months processing time. I have a friend here in same country, she send at CSC in may, and shes already there, in USA.... TSC ... worse then snails... God help us

Yes the Senator's Office said the same thing. Its six months now..not five (despite what the site says). HE told me to call when it reaches six months. I also emailed the TSC and got an email back a week later telling me to call in TWO months time (that would be seven months). This system is ridiculous, broken and they tend to play games with us

Oh wow - so basically the 5 months posted on the TSC was false hope! seems like they need to update it.

Its so much easier when you know what time or length of time you are looking at for this waiting period.

Its worst when you just dont know when you will hear at all ! but always hopeful and it will come eventually.

hope january ones get processed soon!!
