I feel like I'm going through the 5 stages of grief...

1. Denial and Isolation: Is this really going to take long? La la la la la lala not listening, thinking happy and positive thoughts, this won't take forever!

2. Anger: WHY THE [censored] IS THIS TAKING SO [censored] LONG!? [censored][censored][censored] and [censored]!

3. Bargaining: Why can we ship off some petitions to CSC to balance the workload? Isn't there something we could do to get them to go faster??

4. Depression: [censored] this, I don't even want to get out of bed. [censored] checking the status updates or the mailbox, [censored] CSC, especially [censored] TSC, [censored] everybody.

5. Acceptance: Whether I like it or not this is going to at LEAST take the whole 5 months. Balls.

I just wanted to tell you that made great reading.

I am sure you are not the only one and I am certainly in the same boat. I email, text or facebook every day and that helps a great deal,

All will be OK, just don't get yourself down.

Best

Thanks for the comic relief. If my fiance doesn't come soon, I'll be out of a lot of wedding deposit money, but I am like [censored] it. I've moved to acceptance

I'm okay mostly, but some days are just the worst. I'm somewhere between depression and acceptance.

Hahaha this is exactly how I feel!

I just remember feeling so happy and optimistic in the beginning, at this point this is some BS.

Hope everything works out :( glad I could make you laugh!

For me personally, I need our NOA2 soon because I have a serious surgical procedure on my hips that I need. I've been to the ER twice, 8 hospital appointments, and i've had 2 MRI's, X-rays, ultrasounds, surgeon and specialist meetings. Just way too much to even handle right now. I'm on so much medication and my last MRI showed more damage because I haven't been able to get a surgery date cos there isn't a trained surgeon available where I am for this procedure! I've been told if it goes on without surgery soon, then i'll have permanent damage.

It's a never ending cycle for me and I am honestly exhausted from it all. The real kicker was when my specialist told me that there are trained surgeons in North America who can do this procedure right away <_< I was like... you gotta be kidding me!

Well that's rude! Kick a person while they're down...you didn't qualify for an expedite?

I'm somewhere inbetween 2 and 3. I literally can't plan a darn thing until the NOA2. I want to go for the interview because it's encouraged in South America (not to mention, my fiance would like it). I'm thinking I should pester the people in my congresscritter's office some more.

Okay... fine.. stuck in step 3.

We actually sent in stuff last week under humanitarian situation, 14 formal documents of my Emergency room admittance, doctors medical diagnosis, surgeon letter, specialist letter, mri reports, blood tests, hospital appointment slips, the current health system here and patient statistics of surgical procedures in the last year explaining why I can't have surgery here. ALL of it! We haven't heard anything yet. But the sooner I can get over there and have surgery, the least likely I will end up with a septic hip and have to have a full hip replacement.

Praying for all of us that we all get an approval soon!

I know i'm not the OP. But, personally I'd fear some adjudicator scrawling "FOR IMMIGRATION PURPOSES ONLY" on my application after reading the reason for the expedite. Maybe not so much with the OP being from Australia, which has visa waiver, but in general.

I contacted one of my Senators. Firstly couldn't get through, then they said to email the information (4 months two weeks since NOA1). This was three weeks ago. They haven't even looked at the application. So I called the other Senator in the State who seems a little on the ball.

Will send the paperwork again..no one wants to bother with us it seems.

Haha. Yeah we filed in January, my evidence shows I was diagnosed in March so clearly not "for immigration purposes only" as we filed before I had this.

Also, that being said, anyone could fly to usa to get this surgery there without migrating, people go to usa for cosmetic surgery all the time. - so that proves not "for immigration purposes only"

Course not. But you never know what'll pop into someone's head when they are reading paperwork.

I hope that this is not the case as it's quite upsetting for me to read that and think that maybe someone is looking at our relationship and our genuine case with a real reason to expedite as some sort of fraud :(
