One of the toughest parts of all of this is that, due to these circumstances, many of us are forced away from our loved ones for the holidays. Myself, with all the expenses incurred and expected, I can't afford a $1300 plane ticket to Peru and am forced to hope a phone call to a cell phone in Cusco will go through at midnight (It didn't for most of Christmas Day). It's difficult and I know that there are many here like that.

So, here's to all of us roughing through this one and never having to experience it again.

hopefully all those who are now in the K-1 process will be ringing in the next New Year with their loved one. best of luck to all in their journey.

Comforting to know there are others who know what we are experiencing this holiday. I think this Christmas & New Years was the worst in the 3 years we've know each other because we are so close to the actual time he will be here permanantly. He is in Poland (6 hours difference) and I got to hear the wild fireworks at midnight there but I'd rather be with him and make our own. :innocent::hehe:

Yes Thankyou... Because her Interview is so close....money...and job...I just couldn't be with Veronica.. and it has been a real pain...

But I've had some family support... and we spend as much time as we can on the cam and cell on these two days... like today at 3pm my time and midnight hers... We talked for 3 hours.. and tonight at midnight my time and 9am hers..We wish each other Happy New Years again.. and promise each other never to be apart during the holidays again...

What doen't kill you...makes you stronger.. :) God I hate quote's I want to be with Veronica... :crying: :crying: :crying:

Oh and of course the people here at VJ that are in the same boat and have no where better to be....

Thanks for greeting us K1s a Happy New Year :D

Yeah..it is really tough to be away with my SO but I know 2 more months and we will be together soon and will be celebrating our first holiday together. I wasnt able to connect to his home phone and cellphone before midnight and until 4am Philippine time because all the network got busy already and was happy to connect after that since he cant still contact me due to recent earthquake so I am the one calling him, and even internet is still bad connection.

I celebrate new year with my family and some neighbor outside our house while we are waiting for new year. We lighted some firecrackers and used other stuff to make a noise.
