Notice how they said "a man" and then "African-American teenager?"

Let the race baiting begin!

Well, people under the age of 18 are not typically considered adults. This is why they cannot drink or smoke. Just to let you know.

No race baiting, just facts from the case.

Good point, because the rest of us don't. When we open our doors we're greeted with the sights and sounds of Toontown rolleyes.gif

And I thought I was the only one.

Without this part, nothing would have happened

"Dunn told police that he asked Davis and three other teens, who were parked next to him at a Jacksonville gas station, to turn down their music."

Stop trying to "fix" society people. Mind your business.

What's worse was he told the police the boys had the "nerve" to disobey him.

Is toon town where people are delusional and think that evil does not exist? Have you ever been the victim of a crime? Or do none of those things happen in toon town?

No. Drawing the weapon at any time will make matters worse.

I disagree. Sometimes just the sight of a gun will change the mind of a coward criminal. It's amazing how someone will quickly change their mind when confronted with someone that is willing to defend themselves.

Not where I'm from. Those dudes will get at you no matter what you pull out. If you flash your gun, you might as well start shooting.

That's why I said sometimes. I have seen a gun defuse a situation before so I know it's possible.

I know it's possible. The problem is folks who start an confrontation and rely on the gun to get them out of it. If this dude wasn't carrying, I'd bet anything he wouldn't have said shyt, and left that gas station with no incidents.

Evil doesn't exist. There are people who commit crimes, sometimes for money, sometimes for fun, sometimes because they're insane. What of it?

No I haven't been the victim of a violent crime. I'm not sure what difference that would make, other than possibly living in fear which you have said you do not.
