From the timelines they have been approving petitions with noa1 november 29th at the latest. That's just at a quick glance.

Got our NOA1 22nd of nov and also waiting.

So many people lately have been receiving approval so so quickly.. But guess all we can do is keep on waiting keep on waiting keep on waiting

Crossing fingers for a speedy process although it seems that there is since New Years a bit of a decline in approvals coming in, seems less then in November and December.

I guess it mainly depends whose desk your petition landed on.. My NOA1 is 11/25 and haven't heard anything since 12/12 (ARN assigned)

Well we wait since august 12 for our NOA2 and are over our 5 months processing time! We called them and talked to a tier2 officer. He said actually would work USCIS on July16 but that was last week when we called on monday... So they should be a little further by now.... I'm just asking myself then how so many people can get approved from november and so on and on the telephone they talk from july 16,2013 cases are getting worked on... Hmmm :-/

Have i just not found it or is this whole process not transparent enough? There is absolutely no rhyme or reason that i can see as to why some people with clean records and no hangups have to want ridiculously long to get approved, while others get approved in a month. They give us a website to check the status of our our application, but even that doesn't give us ANY insight as to when our NOA2 will come. Then, to make themselves look good they report a waiting time of 5 months, although many applications are completed in much less time.

I know i am just ranting but c'mon folks, 5 months + do approve an application is absurd! it takes 5 months to determine if we meet the requirements? really? look at my passport, glance at my photos with my fiancee - just like that, requirement #1 met. see that we both are legally able and willing to marry e/o in 90 days by looking at the 2 forms signed, requirement #2 met. the rest of it is just gray area and i believe that most normal people could make a decision on the bona fide thing within minutes. background checks? Are they the ones doing the background checks or are those sent off to the FBI or something? But if it is an outside organization, move onto the next one until you (USCIS) are not the bottleneck.

I paid these people (my government) a pretty hefty fee and i believe i deserve a quicker response. I feel bad for those of you who have been waiting so long and really i hope you get approved before me, it would only be fair.

Is there anybody on here who can take us through a day in the life of an IO at one of the service centers? Please excuse my ignorance, but it pisses me off that you are taking so long because it seems so unnecessary. I am an engineer and I design things. If it took me 5 months to do anything but a fairly complex project I would be fired. What is so complex about these visa petitions???
