Our case was officially completed as of 1/16/14. What a relief after spending almost a year at the NVC!
Now we wait for the interview date

We sent our packages at different times. Our case was complex and not typical. Definitely not one to use as an example. I was laid off once, switched jobs in the middle, etc... so AOS had to be sent several times. Also, my husband had some challenges getting some required documents for his IV package and he also lived in numerous countries which all required police certificates.

Could you write up a Embassy/Consulate review for those of us in Vietnam? My wife has her interview soon and would like to read some updated reviews of how the process went. Did she interview in HCMC?

Pretty disappointed today. Our interview was rescheduled. Only one week later, but, with no explanation/apology, after my hubby arranged the day off work and everything. Now he has to call and may have to reschedule his medical (which was supposed to be last week.) Just a really rude and bad way to handle people. The letter was mailed, not even a signature or personal touch to it--typed, with the word RESCHEDULED underlined in red pen. Very disappointed in the USCIS for the way they're treating people with such disregard. Hopefully he'll still get approval. Just sharing/venting and disappointed about it. (It would have been easier to not have had it scheduled and having it a week later. Now, it just adds to the time til I see hubby again...) Has anyone else heard of this being done? It just seems to unprofessional and impersonal.

My wife is having her interview on 1/28 at Frankfurt. Can she take a wedding CD/DVD to the interview? Will DVD fall under electronic media? In earlier days, consulates used to require it. Do they still ask for DVD's?

Well I finally got a email Wed saying my case was complete.. Only took 2 weeks to respond to a email asking for case status. It just said basically case complete and your waiting for interview to be scheduled.

Has anyone ever called the embassy and got the interview date changed to a earlier date? Is it even a possibility?
