Even though the instruction did write not to leave blank, my fiance did leave a lot of blanks of things that doesnt apply to him. I only knew it when he send me a duplicate of the I-129F.

We got approved without RFE

the new I-129F instructions clearly says leave the space blank. we followed that and we didn't get any RFE.

The I-129F forms from the USCIS state to leave them blank. I would follow their instructions when filling out one of their forms > http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-129finstr.pdf

How To Fill Out Form I-129F

1. Type or print legibly in black ink.

2. If extra space is needed to complete any item, attach a continuation sheet, write your name and Alien Registration
Number (A-Number) (if any), at the top of each sheet of paper, indicate the Part and Item Number to which your
answer refers, and date and sign each sheet.

3. Answer all questions fully and accurately. If an item is not applicable or the answer is “none,” leave the space blank.

4. The answers to Item Numbers 15.e., 15.f., 15.g., and 15.h. should be in reference to the passport or travel document
used at the last entry into the United States.

Re #4, I travelled on j1 in 2007, does it mean I have to put that info on it? Do I have an A#?

No. You only fill out the questions for #15 if you are currently in the US when the I-129F is filed. If you have an A# listed on your paperwork or visa, then list it. Otherwise, leave it blank.

Yes, since the new edition came out about 6 months ago. Most of the new editions of the forms have those same instructions now. Some of the forms have bar-coding now too.
