Hello everyone,

We filed our I129f in August and was approved in October. We currently have an interview date for end of january, I would like to know if I as the petitioner need to rewrite a new letter of intent. I ask because I suppose the reasons for rewriting them is ordinarily the petitions take tremendously long for approval. However since our petition was approved in less than 6 weeks, do we need another letter of intent for the interview for Lagos, Nigeria. Thanks for your input.

They said that letter of intent not needed if your K1 expiry date is after your interview.

If your petition is extended then you will need it. Packet 3 does not mention anything about a new letter of intent.

I prepare ours for the interview just in case we need it. No harm getting it ready!

Both of you need new letters of intent with original signatures. Read the Guides.

You should be leaving house in Festac at 4am. Be there hopefully an hour early.

yes you need a new letter of intent and any other evidence to show your bonafide relationship.

For K1, you only need to fill ds-160 and not ds-260.

Don't understimate what you might need.

Madam is very generous. I would be thre 2 hours before, so plan to leave at whatever time will get you there then.

Do a dry run the day before.

My case was approved with in 4 weeks when we filed....But that was in 2011

...We went through Lagos Consulate,They didn't ask me any of those things...They don't care for the letter of Intent....Trust me,..Am 100 percent positive they don't care for it....because they know anybody can make that letter in just few mins.........They mostly make there decision base on the file Department of state sent to them but i still had a lot of pictures and emails and all that (Bring anything you think that can help your case......Always put in mind, every case is different).........He ask me for only phone record which i have over 50 pages of it.....He just look at one page and see the Network....T-mobile and said.... okay..... besides I have more than 70 copies pictures.....i ask him if he need see them....He said no..But before then,i already see the initial evidence we sent when we originally file our case in the US with bunch of pictures we sent.......Which he was looking at when flipping my file.........He Just said Congratulation and welcome to United states ......That i should come next week to pick up my visa....He took my passport........But the whole interview lasted just like 5 to 10 mins long.......................

But make sure you are calm, bold and speak up.................Dress simple too......... Don't appear intimidated ......Smile and make eye to eye contact if possible......Most times,They don't look at people in the eye,but will be acting busy but are not,They are just monitoring your reactions......

Most Important,Don't be late....Avoid Lagos traffic.....Most people make that mistake....Don't be one...

Wish you best of luck and happy married life in advance.....

I must say your case is the fastest I have ever seen so far... so you gonna have your visa in less than 6 months? I thought they said it takes up to 9months before everything is finished.

You are so lucky

I forget to say,Only answer the question been ask to you......Don't create room for too much questions.....Is not a good move and people run in to AP for what they say in the interview....

Good luck...
