Comments : My husband's biometrics appointment was originally set for May 14th 2014. I read on another member's page about walk-ins for biometrics so we gave it a shot. We first went to the Fort Lauderdale office and we're declined. My husband tried his luck again at at the Miami office on 7th
ave, a few mins from our home and fortunately was taken in as a walk-in this time around. Thank God. We chose to do this to speed up the EAD and Advance parole even if it doesn't speed up the interview date or AOS In general. Hubby is dying of boredom at home so anything to get back to work.

Update: no interview, GC in hand now. Another phase completed with ease. Thank you, Jesus!

Comments : We used a personal check this time to track when the fees were deducted. We got the NOA that extends the temp GC for a year while we wait for biometrics in about a week.

We received a second letter that case has been transferred to another office and then another letter to extend the expired for a hear for another year. Before that we went to a local office to get a travel stamp. We ended up not needing it as we received the permanent GC two days after receiving the approval letter. No interviews or anything!

Only God is able to pull such stunts. On to the next step. =)

Consulate Review: Nigeria
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 29, 2014
Embassy Review : All glory, honor and praise be to the almighty God who never ceases to amaze us! <-- yes I better start speaking in us because my baby is coming on down stateside. Yes, my redeemer scored this K1 process for us in barely under 5 months! Call us lucky, blessed, whatever hahaha I'm beyond exhilarated. So this is a second-hand account:
Interview was scheduled for 7.a.m. I made sure homeboy was up by 4:30 to drive down to the consulate. Well, he was already on the road when I called him. #teamdedication!!
He got there around 5:45a.m. Did the usual check-in. It took me a whole month to put our package together so he said he watched the consular (a white lady) grow through all of the entire package before she called him. He was only asked 3 questions and no other documentation was requested:
G: Good morning (grinning like a damn fool, I love this man!!)
CO: caught that contagious smile and said Good morning. I just finished looking at your package, so you applied for the K-1. Who petitioned for you?
G: Answer
CO: Where does she go to school?
G: Answer
CO: Where does she live?
G: Answer
CO: I must say I'm quite impressed with this package, I don't need any other documentation. Congratulations. Pick up visa in 2weeks!

It's a Wrap, son! My love is coming to the stateside home =)

Thank you Lord!! It has been a good 5months now on to the next phase. Thanks for all the help VJ'ers! Please do not hesitate to ask me any questions, I read up a great deal on this site and received a lot of help from others. I will gladly do the same for others.
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
