Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days.

For more information, please visit U.S. Embassy Algiers.

Summary: we had our interview and was given a 221 (g) because they wanted information on my previous petition for my ex husband. I have them what they wanted and last night I got an email for the embassy indicating that they have received my documents and that it was forwarded to the consulate for review and that my fiancé would be notified so this morning I checked the CEAC site and got the above status.

Does this mean that they are processing is application and that he is approved?

Sorry for the errors in this message cause I'm using mobile to post :)

No he is not approved yet, but they received your documents and are processing them.

IF he is approved, they will print and mail the passport with visa within 2 days.

Mimilous u are so wrong it's only for male who have older fiancee u need to document ur self

No, you are incorrect. Anyone can get AP, but it is extremely common for men from Muslim countries. This is for security checks, NOT relationship checks as it would be when a younger man marries an older woman.

How long did your administrative processing last? Did you get the visa yet? My fiancé was given a 221g and it said that they need "proof of claimed income" I don't understand that. It is for my mother who is my co-sponsor. She receives well above the poverty guidelines. I figured it was income taxes they wanted, but i sent them 2 years worth along with bank statements, letters from Social Security and letters from the pension. I am confused.

You are 199% wrong! not me. Get your facts straight before you tell someone they are wrong when they are not.
