I am on board! I have posted a request on facebook and I will have friends of mine on board, too! I like the idea of a media blitz and I really think highlighting the fact that families are seperated during the holiday season as a result of USCIS' unacceptable practices will get some big attention.

I really think this is going to have to be a monthly blast. USCIS' letter last month was clearly a CYA response. They just wanted us to sit down and shut up. I think in January we should contact our Representatives and Senators (as well as the people listed in the e-mail blast) and demand a hearing or something.

I think it's time for some media coverage! I LOVE the letter, by the way. Excellent work and I thank you immensely!

In a nutshell, I-130s were left on a shelf while USCIS prioritized DACA requests. Instead of hiring more staff to deal with the influx of paperwork, they simply reallocated existing staff away from our petitions and left essentially no one working on them.

Glad you want to get involved! Tomorrow we will be sending this letter to the following contacts:

Bob Goodlatte

alejandro.mayorkas@dhs.gov; alejandro.mayorkas@hq.dhs.gov; uscisfrcomments@dhs.gov; Lori.Scialabba@dhs.gov; Lori.Scialabba@hq.dhs.gov; cisombudsman@dhs.gov; maria.m.odom@dhs.gov; maria.m.odom@hq.dhs.gov; brandi.blackburn@uscis.dhs.gov; rand.beers@hq.dhs.gov; letters@washpost.com; executive@aila.org; newsroom@aila.org; Public.Engagement@uscis.dhs.gov

This is the third in a series of letters that members of this community are sending to the above contacts. The previous letters can also be found on VJ if you're interested in seeing what we've been doing. Join us in sending tomorrow, and keep your eye out for the next letter, which will be sent 3-4 weeks from now.

Is the attachment the final draft? I'm getting ready to this to all my friends and family now.

She also told me this may not help me and that we may be back in line. Lord help us!

Fantastic letter and I am once again recruiting all friends and family tonight for yet ANOTHER blast tomorrow. I say we keep applying pressure until we see some movement. Just because it's USCIS does not mean they can't be held accountable for their actions or lack thereof! They are making bank off the filing of these forms just sitting there and knowing the number new filings every month how is their current shifting of case files any kind of resolution?? It's like they are pulling applications out of a hat at random to process from different months which does nothing but fuel frustration from the masses. If I worked my job this way I would be fired in a hot minute no questions asked!!
