is a week visit a red flag?

Hello every one, i met my fiancee online 2012 oct. and she visited April 2013 for just a week ,she could not stay long due her work.we are both worried if that would be a red flag..anyone with same experience? please share your thoughts and advise. thanks

Yes only one visit is a red flag. In some countries, it would not be a major deal but you are going to have to convince the most difficult US embassy in the world to get a visa through.,... I would strongly recommend making more visits, preferably at least 2- one asap and one for the interview.

is Nigeria the most difficult US embassy in the world? Am finding it hard to agree.

The requirements for a K-1 Visa are that you have been visited by your fiancé within the last 2 years, and that will most likely get your petition approved, but getting through the interview successfully may not be that easy. Consider what other "red flags" (if any) you may have. Only having visited once and for only one week is bad enough, but if you have any other issues they would consider a red flag, then it's going to be practically impossible. Try having her visit again during the time between now and your interview....and stay longer this time. I know someone who applied for a fiancé visa a few years ago. The fiancé went to Nigeria only once, but she stayed 3 weeks. I think that helped because they were approved.

Does that mean you are a resident of Cyprus? I could be wrong, but that might be a benefit to you not having to interview in Nigeria. So you might be ok.

No other red flags.our age difference is just 2yrs and am older..i reside in Cyprus so i wont be having my interview in Nigeria but anyway we will plan for another visit before time. thanks a lot.

Again your information is bad and not correct.

Not meeting in person within the last 2 years is incorrect. Filing the 129-f within the 2 years with proof is Correct.

1 visit and 1 week WILL raise eyebrown in every US consulate. It does not mean you will get denied, it just mean that you have to prepare for them to ask you that question of why only 1 visit and 1 week meet.

Yes- it is the most difficult US consulate in the world. There are immigration lawyers in the USA that would take any cases EXCEPT those that are going to the Lago consulate.

It is a well known fact that the lawyers have a tier system for fraud countries- low, médium, high, Lago

Since you do not have any other red flags I think you may be ok but would suggest another visit,

preferably be there at the interview. They are pretty good about petitioners being there.

While you are there take pics and submit them at the interview.

Hope you already send lots of relationship evidence with your petition.

It should not be too long until your NOA2, then about 1-2 months at NVC and about 3 weeks from there to interview.
