I have a question?? May be a stupid one but I want to make sure I do things right. Should I send the I-864 or the I-864EZ? I am only sponsoring my husband no other family members. I meet the income requirements collect no disability benefits and am not using any savings or assets. In what cases are you suppose to use the I-864 verses the I-864EZ?

If you qualify for the I-864EZ (which it sounds like you do), then I highly suggest you use that as it's a much shorter and easier form to fill out than the full-blown I-864.

I got my NVC case # today. Now i am just waiting for the invoices #

USCIS

3/5/13 - Sent I-130 (Phenix Lockbox) UPS Overnight

3/11/13 - Cleared the check

3/19/13 - NOA1 hard copies received, Priority Date 3/6/13 (MSC)

6/10/13 - Case was Touched

6/19/13 - call from senator office

7/8/13 - Case show up online as Initial Review for the first time

10/24/13 - Case transferred email (transferred to other USCIS office)

10/25/13 - Case transferred email (transferred to local USCIS office)

10/28/13 - Hard Copy transferred mail (CSC)

10/30/13 - Case update email (transferred and is now being processed)

11/4/13 - Case was Touched

11/22/13 - Received NOA2 via text/email (CSC) Moving on to NVC

11/29/13 - Received NOA2 Hard copy mail

NVC

12/2/13 - NVC Received file (at dock)

12/6/13 - NVC Received file (in building)

12/19/13 - Enter into Computer

12/20/13 - NVC Case & Invoice # assigned (Call NVC)

12/31/13 - DS-261 Available & Submitted (AOS, IV fee not available)

01/02/14 - AOS Bill Available & Paid

​01/06/14 - AOS Shows as 'PAID'

01/06/14 - Sent I-864 Package (Delivered on 1/7/14)

01/09/14 - NVC Scanned The I-864

01/13/14 - IV Bill Available & Paid

01/15/14 - IV Shows as 'PAID'

01/15/14 - DS-260 Available & Submitted

01/15/14 - Sent IV Package (Delivered on 1/16/14)

01/17/14 - NVC Scanned The IV Package

01/29/14 - Call NVC find out got Checklist ( they wanted job letter) I-864 is OK

01/30/14 - Received Checklist via email (said reviewed Ds-260 and instructed me to send in civil documents).

( Same email instructed me to submit job letter)

01/30/14 - Send Checklist(job letter)-( Delivered on 1/31/14)

02/03/14 - NVC scanned the checklist

02/07/14 - civil document review and accepted

02/24/14 - Case Complete

Question about shipping notification from USCIS after NOA2 to actual nvc receiving the file....is there somewhere where I can search the average times for that? I don't see where it could be specified on the Immigration Timelines....if someone could point me in the right direction, that would be awesome :)

Mine was sent from the CSC on Dec 3rd, and NVC said they received it on the 13th. I'm still waiting on NVC case and invoice numbers.

Finally we are in the NVC steps! We just got approved today and we will be waiting for few days/weeks to get NVC case #.

My Journey:

March 29, 2013 :PD Dec-20, 2013 USCIS approval date July 28. 2015 (F) (F) (F)Interview Date APPROVED.

Yey got an email from NVC today. Case number generated. Thanks God!

USCIS Process

Feb 25, 2013 - sent out I130 Package to USCIS

Mar 07 - priority date (NBC/MSC)

Mar 11 - NOA1 hardcopy

Oct 25 - transferred case from NBC/MSC to CSC

Nov 05 - being processed at a local USCIS office (CSC)

NVC Process

Nov 20 - finally! NOA 2

Dec 21 - Case number and IIN generated

Dec 23 - Submitted/Completed DS-261 online

Dec 23 - AOS fee bill invoiced

Dec 28 - AOS shows PAID

Dec 28 - IV fee bill invoiced

Jan 12, 2014 - sent out AOS Package

Jan 18 - IV fee shows PAID

Jan 18 - DS-260 available

Jan 19 - Completed/Submitted DS-260 online

Jan 26 - IV Package sent to NVC

Feb 03 - IV package under review (wait for 30 days to complete)

Feb 06 - advance medical done (results & cd on-hand)

Feb 10 - AOS package has been reviewed and completed (by email) (25 days)

Feb 24 - IV package has been reviewed & completed  (by phone call) (22 days)  

Feb 24 - Case Completed (phone call & email)

Feb 28 - received an email about my interview appointment (P4 letter)

April 04, 2014 - Interview Schedule (by email)
April 04 - Administrative processing ( due to missing AOS documents, sent out right away)
April 07/08 - still AP
April 11 - AP changed to Ready (for interview)
April 11 - Ready changed to ISSUED (Thanks God!)

April 22 - Visa received

May 10 - My most awaited date! My flight to San Diego CA.

 

May 23 - applied for SSN. June 2 - received my SSN Jun 9 - got a job. July 21 - received my green card (wrong expiration date and combined first and middle name, filed for I-90-correction) Aug 08 - applied for a state ID Sep 05 - biometrics appointment  Oct 09 - received my state ID Nov 03 - post decision activity (I-90 application) Nov 07 - card/document production (need to wait for 30 days for my new green card) Nov 10 - received the new green card (2 months & 5 days)

December 26,2013-------Case was Shipped to National Visa Center
January 13,2014 -------Case received at NVC
February 12, 2014-------NVC Assigned Case Number

February 25,2014------- Paid AOS & IV bill

February 27,2014------ -AOS & IV documents was submitted to NVC ( Completed DS-260 )

March 4, 2014 --------- NVC received AOS & IV documents

March 10 & 11,2014 -----( Done Advanced Medical at SLEC ) = Passed

March 21,2014---------- Case Completed

April 04,2014---------Received Interview Date ( P4)

May 5,2014-------- -Interview ( APPROVED )

Did you have to do anything special to get email notices from NVC?

Everyone will if they give the NVC both email addresses.

also many times they will email the petitioner based off of the email address for the G1145

hi guys,

My wife USC (petitioner) has received a letter todays's morning and it say's to confirm my (benficiary) adresses and mentioned to pay $88 fees. so what kind of this letter she has received. Your advice will be helpful for us.

Receipt Date: 04-03-2013

File Transferred: 24-10-2013 (Nabarsaka)

Received Transfer hard copy: 31-10-2013

Case Approved : 7-11-2013

Received Approval Hard Copy: 14-11-2013

sounds like the case is at the NVC and you can pay the AOS fees and send in the AOS package. I suggest doing the DS-261 ASAP!!

yes my case is at NVC stage after apporval my wife (petitioner) got first letter from NVC and it sya's to pay $88.

Hope the NV process will go smootn for us.
