So my fiance mailed the petition on November 11 and up until now we havent received anything. I was expecting NOA1 would be less than a week or so but its been 2weeks and still nothing. I'm wondering what couldve been wrong. I'm losing hope and getting so impatient i just wanna get this over with so i can be with him. Has anyone else been on the same situation? Can anyone enlighten me please? Fiance would be checking with the usps on monday and will try to call uscis or whoever he needs to contact to ask about our petition. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, everyone! :)

Uh-oh. That I am not sure but I do think he cashed it. Is there any difference? I'll verify it with him as soon as he wakes up and will update this.

If USCIS cashed the fee it means your I-129F already on their hands. Have you checked your I-129F status on USCIS website? What did it say?

Okay now I am really getting confused. How can I check our case status on the website? Dont get me wrong but I really do appreciate you helping me out. I dont know what I'm doing right now.

Yes, I know, it is really confusing. I am sorry for make you that way. I just found out that the receipt number is on NOA-1 and you can't check your status without that. Anyhow, your fiance sent the petition on November 11. I've got mine after 2 weeks. My fiance received notification by mail and text. Yours should be coming up sooner.

Chill, friend. Calling USCIS is of no use as you do not even have any receipt number - which you would have to give when inquiring about a case's status. It is just two weeks. Give it another few weeks at most.

In any case, if your fiance sent the mail 'registered' then he should know if it was received or not. Even if he has a usps tracking number showing it was received, DO NOT waste your time calling USCIS, UNTIL YOU HAVE A RECEIPT NUMBER (NOA1). Wait for it, it will come in due time. Relax and avoid getting stressed this early in the journey.

Sorry but your post made me laugh a bit. :) It's a looong process and if 2 weeks gets you worried it's gonna be hard! Honestly, I'm saying this kindly. It is hard waiting but that is what you have to do. On the plus side, it seems to only be taking 3-4 months now before people are getting interviews; we waited 8 months this time! Best of luck!

I know I've been paranoid mostly because most NOA1 that I see here arrive in less than a week so yeah that makes me worried. No worries, though! Just keep hoping for the best for us for everyone else who's waiting. :)

The OP I'd waiting for noa1 from USCIS, not for an interview, not for a case number.

To the OP, sometime noa1 can take up to 2 weeks, it hasn't been 2 weeks yet. Checks to see if the check was cashed for the fee, if it was you will receive your notice soon. Did you sign up for text message notification?

Yes he did and he hasn't received any text or email yet and we're getting kinda antsy that maybe it was not sent in or it may have been overlooked. I know I'm just stressing myself out and I shouldn't be. Anyway, I'll have him check if it was already cashed in. Keeping my fingers crossed for any update this upcoming week :)

You better learn how to have realistic expectations or this is going to be a very long, hard journey for you. You really thought he would mail off the petition and get the NOA 1 in less than a week?

There is no one to call on Monday.

What is your current expectation of how long it will be until you interview? Have you looked at timelines here on V J? Have you thought about the U S holidays and how they affect the entire work schedule for the U S govt?
