Hi everyone,

I've been following this forum quietly and this is my first time to post. I would like to thank everyone in advance as all of you have been a great help in preparing our K-1 Fiance visa application. I have learned a lot in this forum! smile.png

Short information about me, I am the beneficiary based in Singapore and my boyfriend of 14 years is the USC. We were high school classmates and that is where it all started. I visited him in the USA a month ago and finally he proposed! YAYYY!! heart.gif That was the best trip ever!! smile.png

We are now onto the next steps so we can be together as soon as possible. I've spent all my free time researching about K-1 visa application and have gathered the necessary documents. Had I known that boarding passes are so important, I could have kept ALL of them but I'm still grateful that I've kept some so I can send them what I have. We have tons of pictures together but I understand that they are considered as secondary evidence.

Anyways, may I trouble you guys to check the list of what I'm planning to send? I am trying to avoid RFE because it delays the process.

So here goes my detailed I-129F Checklist Prior to Mailing Petition

  1. I-129F Cover Letter (signed and dated) (Petitioner)
  2. Form I-129F (signed and dated) (Petitioner)
  3. Form I-129F Supplement: Part 2, Question 34.a, explanation of meeting in person (signed and dated) (Petitioner)
  4. Form G-1145 (signed and dated) (Petitioner)
  5. $340 check payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security (Petitioner)
  6. A copy, front and back, of original Certificate of Naturalization (Petitioner)
  7. Statement of intent to marry (signed and dated) (Petitioner)
  8. Statement of intent to marry (signed and dated) (Beneficiary)
  9. Evidence that petitioner and beneficiary have met in person during the 2 years preceding filing of petition
    • Statement stating the exact dates on which petitioner and beneficiary have met in person (Petitioner)
    • Statement stating the exact dates on which petitioner and beneficiary have met in person (Beneficiary)
    • A copy of passport identification and passport stamp (Beneficiary)
    • Airline tickets (Petitioner and Beneficiary)
    • Baggage check receipt (Beneficiary)
    • Boarding passes (Beneficiary)
    • Tour package receipt (Petitioner and Beneficiary)
    • Tour itinerary and hotel list (Petitioner and Beneficiary)
    • Hotel receipt (Petitioner and Beneficiary)
    • Travel insurance receipt (Beneficiary)
    • Receipts showing name, dates and locations during the tour (Petitioner)
    • Credit card statement of purchases made during the tour (Petitioner)
    • 12 Color photos with names, dates and locations on the back

  10. Form G-325A (signed and dated) (Petitioner )
  11. Form G-325A (signed and dated) (Beneficiary )
  12. 2 passport-style color photographs with name on the back (Petitioner)
  13. 2 passport-style color photographs with name on the back (Beneficiary)
  14. A copy of original Birth Certificate (Beneficiary)
  15. Proof throughout the course of relationship (Petitioner and Beneficiary)
    • High school diploma/yearbook page
    • High school class picture
    • Photos with names, dates and locations on the back
    • Skype call and chat logs
    • Skype video call screenshots
    • Gmail email screenshots
    • iMessage screenshots

So, if you are the adjudicator, are you going to approve my application without RFE?

Also, I just have a question regarding Form I-129F 15.e., 15.g., 15.h. (passport details), should I complete the details even if I am NOT currently in the United States?

Please feel free to let me know your thoughts as we want to make this process as smooth as possible. Thank you so much everyone!! smile.png

Regarding your last question, if you are the beneficiary, you don't complete form I-129 F, the petitioner does.

1. Hank is right, no need to include your birth certificate (beneficiary) but everything else in your list are good to go.

2. You may want to include duly signed petitioner’s Form G-1145 e-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance, only if you want them to text/email you for acceptance of your petition.

3. I don't think that the beneficiary (you) doesn't need to fill in the passport details since you are NOT currently here in US which is exactly what the form has stated.

goodluck and hope our info helps.

Follow the GUIDE for the K-1 petition and you will be fine.

14 & 15 aren't needed. Other then that it all looks good.

Thanks Hank_!! That guide is so helpful and I have followed it step by step smile.png I think we are ready to submit!!

Thanks Janice&Micah! I will follow your advise regarding 15 as I'm thinking there is no harm if they see more proof of our relationship. smile.png

Regarding your last question, if you are the beneficiary, you don't complete form I-129 F, the petitioner does.

Sorry if I wasn't clear in my post but I am actually just helping filling up the form on behalf of my fiance and will send all the documents to him this week! smile.png I am excited and I think we are ready to submit anytime now. Thank you!! smile.png
