i think it's normal, some people get interview before their EAD, for my case my EAD is approved and will probably be mailed within this week but still have not received the interview date yet.

11-04-2013 - Received Biometric appointment notice for I-485 and I-765 on 11-18-2013

Woke up to great news this morning, early Christmas Present,

Your Case Status: Testing and Interview

On December 22, 2013, we mailed you an appointment notice for an interview for January 28, 2014.

Still no update on the EAD but hoping for that to be sorted out soon. all the best to my fellow VJers, I hope you all get interview dates soon too. I guess it all depends on your local office and their case load

I have my interview on January 2nd and my I-765 is still in initial review. This is normal, I've seen some people on here not receiving their EAD before their interview, I doubt I'll get mine before my interview next week..

I have my interview on January 2nd and my I-765 is still in initial review. This is normal, I've seen some people on here not receiving their EAD before their interview, I doubt I'll get mine before my interview next week..

01-12-2014 - (DAY 72) I called USCIS to ask when will I receive my interview appointment letter and they said it may take up to 6 months for the Dallas office because they are backlogged.

01-13-2014 - (DAY 73) I was able to renew my driver license!!! Hooray!

03-10-2014 - (DAY 126) I received an email from USCIS to notify that our interview is scheduled for April 10, 2014.

04-10-2014 - (DAY 157) INTERVIEW DATE - WENT AWESOMELY GREAT!

04-20-2014 - (DAY 167) Green Card (Valid for 2 years with conditions)

02-22-2016 - Filed Form I-751 (Removal of Conditions) - Lawyer-prepared

03-29-2016 - Biometrics taken

04-20-2016 - 2 year Green Card Expired - Using the Notice of Action that extends my green card to 04-20-2017

08-24-2016 - I received a notification that the green card is being produced!

I think it all depends on your local office. They do say it can take up to 180 days, i would suggest you look at someone who also filed in Dallas and see how long from their filing date they got their interview date

Did you mail the original? Are you the USC or beneficiary? Passport and state ID should be enough if you are the USC.
