I'm a Citizen. Yayyyyyy!!!! God bless America!!!!

Shirt and sweet ceremony in Pittsburgh. We didn't start till like 10:05 am

But scheduled to arrive at 8:45am. Took about 45 mins max, whole ceremony.

About 50 of us and we had a reception afterwards at the omni penn.

I didn't show up at the reception tho but all in all proud to be an American.

Congrats on getting your citizenship! And good luck to JonAndSol with their ceremony today. Good to see all the Pittsburgh filers getting processed so quickly.

I filed in December and my oath is on April 11th in Johnstown.

Thank you! It was a really good ceremony in Overland Park, Kansas. 185 of us from 52 countries. I feel very lucky because they allowed us to sit with our families and when they called our names we were asked to stand up.

This is a very happy day!

Good luck to everyone else being sworn in in the next few days and weeks!!!

I really cannot thank everyone here enough. You have helped me through my worst fears during this process and have raised my spirits... and we all don't even know each other in person. It is amazing how we were all there for each other. I hope you know how much you have helped others out there.

Yay!! my oath appointment letter just came in today!

Ceremony on April 9, report promptly at 12:10pm :thumbs:

The OI asked me to completed the form on the back of the letter prior to the ceremony... Since I requested a name change, does anyone know shall I sign with my current or new name on the form? :help:

The mayor of Pittsburgh spoke, seemed like a decent guy. The song 'I'm proud to be an American' made me throw up in my mouth a little.

I had my interview today and the whole process lasted 10mins except for waiting for oath letter. My appointment was for 1230pm but i arrived 1200pm and i was done 1210pm.

Went through security check like the airport and dropped off my interview letter in a box. I was called in for fingerprint immediately and the woman to interview me was just waiting for me at the door.

She took me to her office and she went as below:

Raise your right hand and swear to say the truth, which i concur.

Please sit she said

Q1: Please write ( We pay taxes)

Me: I did

Q2: She showed me a paper and asked me to read the 1st line

Me: We pay taxes to the the government

Q3: What is freedom of religion

Me: answer

Q3: When was the constitution written

Me: answer

Q3: How many US senators are there

Me: answer

Q3: What ocean is on the east coast f the united states

Me: answer

Q3: Name one state that borders Canada

Me: answer

She went through my form like 1minute and said all good.

She said you have passed and handed me a paper saying congratulations.

She asked me to wait for 1hour to get my oath letter.

After 50mins i was called to come pick up my oath letter and i checked to make sure all is fine then walked out.

Yeepee.

They are actually there to make you pass every step after staying this long to get it and nothing to trip you.

Finally received my oath letter today. Ceremony is at the courthouse on April 24th.

Now to keep patient lol..

Good for you ravi_niu. Until now I still do not have an update even for just a schedule que. I will make an infopass for next week. Glad you got your oath letter :)

Went on my "second interview" and as I expected it turned out to be a systems mess up. I was being told that my case is approved and locked already and because of my name change (which is just 2 letters in my first name lol) my oath is scheduled on June 16th. I was being offered to take a same day oath if I would cancel my name change, but I decided to wait. It's funny that technically if anyone applies for their citizenship today, might have an oath before mine comes lol. Anyway good luck everyone and I'm sticking around if anyone needs my help.
