will be 40 in several days

In several days I'll be 40. Having filed the VAWA and still not heard(life is still in limbo ) just wondered if anyone had some positive suggestions when approaching this age. I'm really not looking forward to it !!!!!

Well take and live life just like you want and you only feel as old as you want too. Life and aging are something we have not much control over. Enjoy yourself and make every day count. Have a Happy Birthday and share it with your loved ones.

I turned 48 today! I thought when I turned 40 it was all over. Since then I have been having the time of my life.........the kids are gone........house almost paid for..........I can do and go anywhere without getting babysitters, etc.

Just enjoy it. Age is only a number. You are only as old as you feel. I feel like I am in my 20's (maturity wise)

My old man just turned 40 lol. I tried bugging him but he said it does not bother him, he thinks it is a woman thing.

I have no advice, but I have heard that 40's are the best years of your life.

40? Oh those were the days! I'm nifty 50.

At 50 I'm comfortable in my own skin. My "give a sh!t" meter is pegged out on zero and I don't care what anyone thinks. It frees the mind. I'm much happier now than I was as a teenager or a young adult.

So at 40 you have things to look forward to. Don't despair! Your life isn't over.

Being 40 is a good thing

I love being 42. You just get so much wiser with age.

You know what you want and you dont just settle for anything like you did when you were young and stupid.

Its not a bad thing,not to to me anyways.

I don't know if this is a good tip or not, but think about all these beautiful, sexy women that are already over 40... Madonnna, Sharon Stone, Michelle Pfeiffer, Teri Hatcher to name just a few... jeez, Halle Berry turns 40 this year.

Here's positive inspiration: many people aren't fortunate enough to celebrate their 40th.

As someone who seriously almost died at 24 (so not an exaggeration at all), I can tell you that my vanity won't get in the way of me celebrating every subsequent birthday with nothing but immense joy & gratitude.
