I have read every entry of all the monthly filers I-130 from January thru August. I keep up with this every day. I'm not sure what your used to seeing on these threads but instead of up dates about where files are sent I just see people crying about the delay and lack of information.

There are a lot of opinions shared on VJ. A lot of these opinions contradict the opinions of others, so now I ask people how do you know that and where can I read this for myself.

Would you know why the VJ charts are set up showing CSC,TCS and VSC? I mean if the files go from NBC to local offices then why are the Charts reporting Service Centers? Are these because the Service Centers still control the work that the field offices are working on?

yes there are a lot of people crying and frustrated mostly due to the lack of understanding and patience.. unfortunately a good dose of both is necessary for this. Most don't know anything about local offices which is beyond me. if you look at the last several pages of petitions dating back to jan-april you will find lots of conversations about local office transfers. in addition there are lots of threads for specific offices which discuss at length the problem. yes lots of opinions, this is not an opinion it is fact. it is on the uscis website and has been for over a year and we both know this will change with the new facility.. will your petition go there? maybe maybe not.. it will be the same mess the k1rs went through a few months ago with all the transfers to catch up. in the end you will be approved and move on to really fun stuff like the possibility of the nrc delay and of course the lovely increase in wait times at nvc and the possible self inflicted checklists at the nvc. unfortunately I experienced each and every one of those mishaps.

I wish you luck and speed with your petition.. the advance search tool will help a lot and read stuff that you don't think pertains to you, as you will find lots of surprises in there

almost 8 months later ours is still under initial review.

now at moment i dont have any idea where is my file,,,all i know is it is routed to NBC ,,,since my noa 1 is 28/2/2013....

my wife lives near new york city,,,USCIS told us to wait only,,,call back in 15 days,,,they havent said that ur file is transfered to local field office,,,,

So that wht i want to know,,,who to ask in uscis,,,where is my file ? transfered or not ?? what is tier 2 officer,,wht he does,,,,

and also i m heard tht NBC opens a new division for i 130......will it be help to geting faster response,,,,,

You seem to be very panicked! Please remember that even if we all knew EXACTLY where our files were, it wouldn't speed anything up at all.

It's all out of our hands and all we can do is remain positive and accept that it will be a long wait.

I think most of the people wondering where their files are are curious to see if they can monitor any movement at the certain service centre, it's not necessary to get worked up over.

I am right with you. Our application was received on May 8th. I really hope they start adjusting at the end of this month like they say they are going to. I hope all those new adjustors are in training now and will be ready come Monday the 30th.

12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.

The new service center (well its not new) will be open September 28th. So hopefully we will see approvals like we did in August 2012 when the NBC started adjudicating stand alone I=130 45 days and less. All you can do is wait.

where did you get the info about September 28th being the day they open?? This is the first time I heard of an actual date.

No they don't work saturdays thats just the date they announced they will start processing. I know as USCIS says that petitions are help at NBC at least 4 to 5 months and depending on your local office then it gets transferred. So do you even know where your petition is? Is it still at NBC or at your local office thats makes a difference. and some offices are crazy backlogged.

It's interesting, dwheels76, isn't it? Another person on this forum found information saying that this new Division 8 will process "stand-alone" I-130s only. The assumption (and I know assumptions can be dangerous) is that stand-alones will NOT be sent to the local offices. Once the I-130 is adjudicated at Overland Park, KS, the paperwork will go directly to the NVC for the IR1/CR-1 and other family processes. Local offices (at least MY local office) are too busy processing ROCs and Naturalization/Citizenship paperwork.

So if you submit a package with an I-130, and AOS documentation, this package will NOT go to Overland Park. Just those of us starting the process for our loved ones with the I-130 only.

And...it appears that from May 2013 onward, most stand-alone I-130s have been held pending the opening of Overland Park, KS, Division 8. Depressing, isn't it?

Does anyone have a STANDALONE I-130 submitted from May 1st onward with any movement on it? My NOA1 has the Overland Park address....

They've changed their process twice now since August 2012. I'm sure the sequester in January 2013 has not helped ANY of us!

I submitted a standlone I-130 for my wife in May with a priority date of May 15, 2013. We have not heard any updates since we received our NOA1.

I would also like to note that the address on the bottom left of our NOA1 hard copy is the Overland Park, KS address.

I think it's too late

waste of time.. possibly not with the improvement in 129 approvals and the new hold up with the 130's

I say let it ride to eliminate possible discomboobulation

hopefully someone will chime in who has pulled their 129 off a k-3 but I haven't read about that one yet

Thanks Stevie b, Yes probably best to just let it ride. So far I haven't read of anyone sending in a 129 along with 130. Wasn't the whole idea behind the 129 to keep the separation between husband and wife to a minimum!!!!!
