As i keep telling people since you don't know the details of this particular case you can't know if it was even supposed to be transferred. They're transferring I-130 for immediate relatives filed by USCs. This could be something else. All those reports about transfers do look like a trend to me.

you are right.. we just have to discover what kind of trend??? for the moment mine is not transferred yet..

I also got a notification that our petition was transferred to another office on 24th Oct. Our NOA1 was March 5. Well, let's see what happens now. Waiting for the hard copy to find out where they sent it. At least now i know they didn't lose it altogether. smile.png

I also got my case transferred to my local office on Oct 24th. I was confused about it and called my lawyer. He told me that up until about 3 mths ago GREEN CARD HOLDERS filing a I-130 have the same benefit as USC so all those GREEN CARD HOLDER application that were filed before, are now current. That's enhancing USCIS workload so that's why they are transferring cases to local offices where there is more manpower to work on these cases. If this is true, i'm upset since I've been waiting for 7.5 mths now. Still holding the faith though...Wishing everyone the best.

This is so frustrating! I got the 2 emails about my file being transferred, 1st to another office, then to my local office. I am a USC filing abroad so technically there is no "local" office for us. I called today to speak to a tier 2, before I got to him the automated recording said "Your file blah blah blah was transferred to LEES SUMMIT MISSOURI on Oct 24. Huh? Isn't that where it has been all this time??? The tier 2 said he could see that there was a transfer but he could not see where to. He said to call back in 7-10 days and check again. #######?

Dont we need to provide more documents once we received the NOA2 and interview afterwards? How come it seems that people get approved so quickly after receiving NOA2? Does it mean our applications have been just sitting there in the cold for 7 months and the real process only starts from NOA2 and it only takes them days to complete?

check out the new immigration reform "Sponsored Immigration as Support for Critical Workers

The prospect of family reunification has been a cornerstone of U.S. immigration policy throughout
our nation’s history. The Senate bill reforms and begins to eliminate the backlog in the family-
sponsored immigration system by exempting immediate family members (spouses and unmarried
children under the age of 21) of lawful permanent residents from the annual limitations on family-
sponsored green cards and by increasing the limit on the number of immigrants allowed each year
from individual countries, including those nations with a high rate of immigration such as China,
India, Mexico, and the Philippines. The Senate bill also excludes these same immediate family
members from annual limitations on employment-based green cards, and removes annual country
limitations altogether from this system."

That bill does nothing to address the problem with I-130s.
