March filer here. We just had our I-130 petition approved on July 16th via email. It will probably take a couple weeks to receive the hard copy of the NOA2 here in Vietnam. Happy to get it finally. It probably would have been a month earlier but we had and RFE to deal with. We are both living abroad together.

3/19/13 - NOA1 hard copies received, Priority Date 3/6/13 (MSC)

If you live together abroad with your husband, that's where it almost always goes, and it's usually faster.

Jan 17, 2014: Case received by NVC

Feb. 25: NVC Case# Received

Feb 28: DS-261 Submitted

March 3: AOS Bill Invoiced & Paid

March 6: AOS Bill showing paid

March 6: AOS Packet sent EP (I did not know at the time but 3 attachments were JPEG's, only PDF's are accepted)

March 12: EP enrollment confirmation received

March 13: Resent AOS packet email as I am confused if they received original since EP enrollment confirmation was received by me after AOS was sent.

March 14: Resent AOS packet as I realized previous two packets had JPEG's in them. This is my first correct packet with all PDF's.

March 17: Resent AOS packet for the 4th time with all PDF's and finally got a confirmation of receipt. This one was the only one sent during "business hours"

March 20: IV Bill Invoiced & Paid

March 24: IV Bill Shows Paid and DS260 Available online

March 25: Supervisor states AOS packet approved

March 27: DS260 & Supporting Documents submitted

April 18: False checklist for IV Packet

May 4: Checklist requesting proof of eligibility (passport or BC). Wrote a nasty note back with a passport attached since they already had both as its part of the IV Packet duh

May 13: NVC Approval Email

Embassy

May 16: Interview Scheduled June 25th

May 28: Medical Exam Completed

June 25: Interview Montreal

I'm guessing it's because my husband I live together in Spain, and we wrote our Spain address on all the forms. It seems that people that live together abroad get approved in two months or less :)

So frustrating not to see any approvals in the igors list.

Actually for some reason not all cases are shown in Igor's list that are shown here (a much more reassuring picture).

I have a question about your timeline: are you sure you're in Texas Service Center and not in NBC (that's where it is if the case number starts with MSC)?

This is actually a common misconception.. I've even heard of people calling USCIS and having the operators tell them that they cannot use a foreign address. That is total BS. My husband lives here in Spain with me, we sent out packet from spain, we wrote out spanish address on all the forms and we received our NOA1, NOA2 and any other mail correspondence at our address in Spain. We had zero problems.

I'm sorry you were so heavily misinformed by others :( You would have probably been approved by now if you would have sent it from Brazil. :/

That's me! I live abroad with my husband in Costa Rica and we sent our I130 from CR only to have USCIS change my address to my mom's USA address (which they took off the envelope as it was listed nowhere on the application). USCIS told me I could not use a foreign address (BS) and I had to contact the ombudsman who did get it changed back to my foreign address for me.

Of course, had USCIS not made this mistake to begin with I might have been approved by now. But nope, still waiting with everyone else.

That's me! I live abroad with my husband in Costa Rica and we sent our I130 from CR only to have USCIS change my address to my mom's USA address (which they took off the envelope as it was listed nowhere on the application). I ASKED THE CONSULATE I EMAILED USCIS I ASKED LAWYERS!!! YES MORE THAN ONE AND THEY ALL SAID ITS IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!

at l am happy for u, maybe theres a reason to all this... WHY WOULD THEY HIDE THIS INFO ANYWAYS????????

Well, i think it's neither, procedure appears to be the same for everyone now, that all cases go there first. Depends on the field office performance (if your case gets distributed to a field office in accordance with the petitioner's location)

Like i said before i am very upset why would they hide this info???

Dont they understand they are breaking families apart? MY4 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER GOT SEVERE DEPRESSION like physical depression from this after her father left no doctors no meds could solve her sickness she stayed for over a month sick in a hospital receiving IV (she almost needed a blood transfusion) until she finally got better on her own

I sorry that you have to go through the same process that anyone who live in the USA. The good is you are with your family you are not apart like the rest of us who are USA filers. Like my Senator told me the response from NBC was 6 months before approvals for NOA2 filers in the USA. I am on my 4 month WOW only 2 more months to go or maybe more BS excuses.
