I think the IOC just lost their collective minds.

Either that, or their bank balances just had a growth spurt.

There might not be a Japan by 2020 if things keep going the way they have been at the power plant.

1. 2020 is a long way off, No country even close to the Middle east had a chance.

2. Spain is its self in a world of problems, to choose them would have been a charity pick.

3.Japan will be a stellar host country...... if you are going bring lots of money.

Oh my! I hope I can visit Tokyo then!

TOKYO IS A BEAUTIFUL CITY! Food and service is great everywhere. And the Japanese are the best people in the world ever. :)

I'm not Japanese, fyi. I only live here. :)

Hooray! Banzai!

The Japanese Olympic team deserve this after all the effort they put into perfecting their speeches in English etc.

As the post above says, Japan is a great place to visit. I hope visitors don't abuse Japanese hospitality. This will be a great boon for the stagnant economy.
