Hello everyone, I have just received an email from the NVC that made my head turning in limbo. It looks like a "case complete" email but not quite. It says, my husband needs to fill up another AOS form but won't have to send it to the NVC? Please help me shed some lights into this. Here's what I got from the NVC.

This is under the instructions for mysellf :

I-864, I-864EZ, I-864W or I-864A (if applicable) Affidavit of Support form
and supporting documents that you have submitted indicates that there is
still some missing documentation.
We are sending you the attached checklist, which indicates which
documents are still missing. You should obtain these documents and
forward them to the visa applicant so they may be presented at the final
interview. The applicant must present all required forms and documents,
including the missing items to the Consular officer at the visa interview.
Please pay specific attention to questions marked in the attached I-864,
I-864EZ, I-864W or I-864A checklist.
Failure to present the missing items indicated and/or to make the
necessary corrections at the visa interview could result in a denial or delay
in obtaining a visa for the sponsored applicant.
If you need a new I-864 form, please visit the Department of State website
at the following address: www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov and read the
Affidavit of Support (I-864) instructions. From there you can fill out the
form online and print it to send to the visa applicant for the interview.
You will be notified when an interview has been set. Do not contact
post regarding your interview date until you have been notified.
This is one part under instruction for my husband (petitioner):
instructions.
I-864, Affidavit of Support Checklist
[x] The NVC recently completed our review of your visa case. While you meet the minimum qualifications for a visa
interview to be scheduled your Affidavit of Support contained one or more sections with missing or incorrect
information. Please review the additional instructions below then complete a new Affidavit of Support. (You can
download the I-864 form and instructions at http://www.uscis.gov/i-864.) Once you have completed the new
Affidavit of Support, please provide it to the principal applicant to bring to his or her visa interview. Do not submit
your new Affidavit of Support to the NVC, as doing so will reopen your case and cause processing delays.
I basically just want to know if I am waiting for an interview date already? Did you guys schedule for a medical exam at ST. Lukes ahead of time? Or do we needs to have an interview date first before we can go on an submit ourselves for medical?
Thanks everyone!

have the petitioner take another stroll through the 864 to make sure everything is correct

any changes will need to go with you to the interview with an original signature

Thanks stevie! What a relief to know that it is indeed the case complete email...*whew*

So I am guessing the next step is just to wait for them to contact us again for an interview date....and this may sound stupid, but can you please point me to hank's direction? I really want to read more about this. Thanks again =)

maybe take a stroll through the nvc filers threads for the past month or two and find someone with a cr1 in that embassy and message them.. medicals and police thingys are country specific

I found out the details on medicals and the like by contacting the panel doctors directly

good luck!

thanks sis ..we sent our checklist aug 21 ..hopefully nextwk we can hear goodnews.we are in nvc for more than 3months already.....tired of waiting...haizt!!

It usually takes three weeks til you her from them again after they get the checklist. You should be hearing from them in a week or so. Waiting does suck, I can definitely agree on it.

Posted (edited)

Looks like a false checklist which means they reviewed the IV. Unless there is something specifically marked that you need to do, a checklist like that generally means they reviewed the opposite (AOS or IV) package.

[x] The NVC recently completed our review of your visa case. While you meet the minimum qualifications for a visa
interview to be scheduled your Affidavit of Support contained one or more sections with missing or incorrect
information. Please review the additional instructions below then complete a new Affidavit of Support. (You can
