the vaccines is YES, because then when you do your examen the will have. A mexican recommended me she has done the DS260

I'm having similar prob here. It asks for previous visits to the US and requires me to fill in 3 "Date Arrived" dates but my daughter's been there just once. I can't just skip it because it requires answers and I'm still waiting for an operator to answer my queries.

Any ideas/help is greatly appreciated.

I think you should answer no since you don't have documents to prove it. In my husband's case, the other vaccines were given to him during his medical check up at Saint Luke's. Same with my daughter. And if I remember it right, no additional fees were paid since its already included in the medical fee (not 100% sure though).

As KiwiPouPou said, you can have the vaccines too at your own expense but check the vaccinations required so you'll be taking just those necessary.

Answer about documentation about vaccine will always be yes because they will be given at the time of medical exam. And they are the one who will provide doccumentation

I would strongly recommend that all VJ members with matters at NVC check the following link https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx It is our experence that NVC is doing everything possable to reset the clock on petitions. I say this based on the following. my wife & I completed DS-230 & it was delivered to NVC on July 1, 2013 & on August 1, 2013 we received acknowledgement via e-mail from NVC regarding receipt of same. However, despite receiving two checklist from NVC no mention was made regarding the required completion & submission of the online DS-260. We only discovered that this was required by visiting the aforementioned link (https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx). It should also be noted that on each occasion that NVC sends out a checklist the twenty (20) day (working days, which is approximately one month) is reset

I strongly agree with you. We all need to keep one thing in mind, we are dealing with the government. The process is tedious and cumbersome and it is a pain to squeeze information. As my older posts mention, one personnel told me to fill out DS-260 and the other one directed me to ignore it. This is clearly a sign of terrible training on their side, yet you can't hold them accountable.

So take the initiative, make calls, check the website and record as much as information you can such as the name and ID of the operator.

As VolcarSS mentioned, we submitted our stuff way before Sept. 1st, yet there is no clear direction on the process. No one at NVC will sit down and care if your interview gets delayed for 2-3 months. Yet this is a big deal for us and the fact that our loved ones are in this limbo situation.

I specifically got a checklist for it to fill out DS-260. So log-in and check the website and then call NVC to clear out the situation.

My guess is the DS-260 will show up for everyone unless your case is closed and the web portal is closed to you. Good luck.

Sigh, I called again this time the operator told me that DS-230 is obsolete and everyone needs to fill out DS-230. Basically she told me DS-230 wont be reviwed. Not sure if this is true or not since yesterday another operator told me that I dont need to fill out DS-260.........

I guess, fill it out. If they dont want it, they can ignore it. I am afraid if we dont fill it out, they will comeback sometimes later and yell about it.

She told me starting Sept 1 DS-260 is mandatory for the interview process and consulates need it.

really? how come when i talked to the rep for the 4th time they said i won't need it anymore bec my IV was approved already they said it's only applicable for those IV's who's still under review and to those who are to submit starting Sept 1..the CSR's are not so consistent with what they say. The guy that i talked with this morning said that I don't have submit ds260 and i said how come it says on my CEAC acct that i need to fill it out He said that don't do it bec it will further delay ur application. and our lawyer also said that we need to wait for NVC's instructions. Now I don't what to do.

In my case, I recieved a checklist. I already fileld it out. I think this will get better soon. NVC just changed the procedure without thinking the whole story through. But it will get better...

With my earlier question, I thought I could do electronic processing after filling in online DS 260. Looks like I can't...

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_5165.html

I've already sent in my civilian documents via EMS. Hope it gets there in 5 days! :)

Hi Folks, this was copied directly from the Department of State web site and is self-explanatory.

To determine if your petition began processing in time to join the program and to access Form DS-260, Online Immigrant Visa Application, and Form DS-261, Choice of Address and Agent, clickConsular Electronic Application Center (CEAC) website. After logging in, follow the directions displayed noting the following:

  • If CEAC provides you with the option of completing a DS-260 (note it may be grayed-out because you have not paid your Immigrant Visa Fee), you are required to complete the DS-260.
  • If CEAC provides you with online payment information only, you are NOT required to complete the DS-260.
  • If your petition did not go through the NVC process (for example, you filed your petition overseas), your invoice ID number will be the principal applicant’s date of birth (YYYYMMDD).

Interesting. I filled out DS260 on Thursday early morning. My DS-230 was completed but NVC would not tell me on the line. I was waiting for AOS to be done as well. I called NVC today and they told me that my wife's case is comeplete and she is in line for interview schedule.
