Seems that, per Visa Journey timelines/processing times, the CSC has been slowing down recently on processing i-129F applications while VSC (finally) is speeding up. I'm still new to this journey but is there any rhyme or reason to the variation? I watch the average Processing Dates listed under the Immigration Timeline tab (on the middle right of the screen) When I started, VSC was processing in mid-March while CSC was around April 8-9th. Now, VSC is on April 2nd while CSC only moved to April 11! <<sigh>>

I've also been checking to see if our application has been "touched" on the USCIS website, but the date has not changed in close to 3-weeks now. I'm not sure if that's pretty common or not? Anyway, just wondered what the more veteran VJ'ers thought... And let me emphasise, I know I am at the very early stages with this. Just wanted other opinions on how things typically go since I am so new ClockWatch2.gif

Thx a million! This site has been a lifesaver!

*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to the USCIS Service Centers forum -- topic involves comparative rates of processing. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I'm not sure why CSC might be experiencing a slow-down, but I know that a lot of I-129F petitions (certainly ones filed in July) which were initially sent to VSC were then transferred to Texas, so that could account for why VSC appears to be processing things much faster.

Yeah, I thought that may be the case for VSC. Happy to see that something was done to speed up the process from that service center!! Hoping to hear many NOA2's, Interview dates, etc soon!

Hopefully something similar will happen for CSC! At a guess, CSC might have had a huge influx of I-129F apps in March or April (the month it's currently stuck in) or there might be a lot of workers on holiday or they might have had a lot of complicated cases which require a closer look.

It's funny, when we were looking at the process in June and applying in July, CSC was the centre everyone wanted their petition to end up at because it was powering through applications much quicker than VSC.

I hope things speed up again for you really soon!

What the poor FEB CSC filers thye seem to getting left behind as the CSC forges ahead with later months...Whoever is working on FEB should get up to speed...My petitioner received a RFE for not checking the Militray NO box she did this and returned it the same day as she lives in CA....we have now gone over the 60 days when RFE's are being cleared in less the 30 days....where's the justice?????????????????

I think you got it backwards if you look on igors list.

VSC approve only 7 K1 petitions this week!!! while CSC is approvong people from June already.

I think us VSC petioners are in for a long wait

Yes, you are correct as of now...CSC is now approving people in July already! Wow! I must have caught it on a few slow days before the approval extravaganza is all! good.gif

It's very disappointing as I received my NOA1 towards the font end of May and seeing all these June and July approvals.. I mean I am glad that it is picking up again, I just wish in a more appropriate order of processing.

I agree with Jack&Len, I even saw an August 2013 filer already getting a NOA2. I dont mind waiting for the NOA2, as long as there was some fair order with how the applications are handled.

Yes, I believe when I was looking at everything it was a momentary "pause" so to say as now?! Things seem to be moving at lightening speed. Hope VSC and TSC are following suit or will be soon !
