Interview today....and APPROVED! We couldn't be happier. They asked some rather odd questions, considering I was married previously (to a man)...as in they asked how did my fiancee know that I wouldn't go back to men. I would have been offended, but my fiancee just laughed it off and said "trust me, she's gay!" Anyways....very happy to have it over with. Now we just have to get the visa and get her to the U.S. A month from now she'll be home and I can't wait!!!!

Congratulations!!! To everyone and their visa approvals!

*sigh* I am in a bind, last week I got laid off from my job. So I'm worried what to do about the I-134 affidavit of support.

I'm like in a rat race to find a job, been applying every where and waiting to hear back from jobs that I applied, California is a tough job market. I hope to find a job soon ... please pray for me that I find a job soon. :(

I am happy that my petition got approve but the job loss has gotten to me, like I feel like a failure. Thank God my fiancé keeps telling me everyday to stay positive, I just feel like a big let down to him. I am just worried about the interview too. The only positive outlook is that I know he is coming soon.

But I have friends though, thank God for my close friends, who said they would help be co-sponsors. Anyways what forms and documentation do I need?

Sorry to hear about your job. Hang in there, you'll find a new one! From what I understand, you as well as your co-sponsor will need to fill out a I-134 each, along with tax returns, letters from employers and banks (if you use any assets to make up the difference to 125% poverty line). It might be best if you email the embassy to see what kind of supporting documentation they want with the I-134, or ask on the regional forum. Good luck!

Sorry to hear about your job. Hang in there, you'll find a new one! We're so happy...the visa arrived today! They also indicate the petioner's name on it, which is pretty cool. To think that a year ago we couldn't even get a tourist visa! Next stop, POE on February 5.
