that's right.

if you cant say something nice, dont say anything at all.

i just cant believe its said by expert here, makes all the newbies looks stupid.

just because we are newbies, doesnt mean we know nothing at all.

probably some of us has been doing deeper research than others, ppl needs to consider that before speaking.

Thanks for NikiR, very well said.

i just dont agree with the way some expert comments here.

referring to how they speak in not good manner, believe me, it wont help anyone, it will bring them down instead.

i think ppl here esp. LGBT wants to share experiences and to know how the process is going to be, NOT being lectured by some others in not good manner.

i think we all agree that ppl will respect others who have good manner.

no matter how old or how expert you are, if you cant show good manner, no one will respect you.

Maybe you don't know what that word means because it is not offensive in any way. It means you are the experiment and all the laws will be tested on you, the first round of applicants. No one knows for sure what issues will come up along the way. Hopefully none, but this is all very new.

I find it offensive that someone would make such rude remarks about other nontraditional couples. Talk about having blinders on. Even you say cousin couples didn't "fight" hard enough, which indicates they are lazy and don't deserve something. That's very rude. I would expect other nontraditional couples to help each other and be supportive. That's what you want about your relationship, right? Why won't you give the same to other people's relationships?

is too early to start making comparisons, our process is new and we have a lot of faith that things will turn out well, we ARE REALISTIC and why we fought this long to get to this point, and we are sure that if satisfied USCIS officials with relevant evidence we will reach the goal, we can not just sit and do nothing because the cousins did not have the strength to claim their rights, anyway prefer real experiences and experiences that have our same line because we started with the best of expectations.

It could not be too early since you are able to now send in petitions for your loved ones. Pointing out that you should be sure to include plans/evidence of marrying in a state that allows SSM was a simple bit of advice that may help someone that had not thought to include that with their petition.

Putting down first cousin marriage and/or stating they should claim their rights seems counterproductive. Besides, first cousins already had rights to marry legally in some states, send in petitions and and receive visas.

The reactions here to someone trying to help others achieve their goals and successfully get the through the immigration process baffles me. If advice is not wanted, instead of posting on a public immigration help site, why not just form a private support group somewhere though? Since it is being made clear that no help is actually needed, I shall respect that and not bother again.
