So I went for my interview on 6/3, and the interview lasted about 10-15 minutes, in which at the end she said that I was approved for GC (yaiii). However, she did not ask for my AP, Work Auth etc, even when I mentioned it. She said I should keep it just in case I need to travel (although she suggested that I didn't). She said I should receive the GC in about a month.

It's been over 2 weeks since the interview and their system still says "Interview and Testing". They have been pretty efficient so far with status updates...

Should I be concerned?

No. It can take a bit to actually push the "approved" button, or the online status is incorrect.

Wait another week or so, then make infopass.

So.. maybe u should, because I know a girl she had her interview and they told her she was approved, then her status never changed after almost 1 month later she went on an infopass at the same location she had the interview, she talked to an immigration officer and they retrieve her process and she saw a big stamp approved, but they told her that day she had the interview they had problems with the system and the officer didn't update her approval and forgot to do it. So if she kept waiting she would be waiting forever.... Wait one more week, if nothing changes go for a infopass....

So I went for my interview on 6/3, and the interview lasted about 10-15 minutes, in which at the end she said that I was approved for GC (yaiii). My status online didn't change until after I received the first Welcome Letter...Sometimes it seems they don't tend to update the system. I wouldn't worry, it took about 4 weeks after my interview before I received the first Welcome letter, it just depends on how many cases the particular officer has at the time of your interview. I wasn't even told at my interview that I had been approved, she told me she hadn't finished reviewing my file but she saw no immediate reason why I wouldn't be approved. I received a letter saying I had been approved in about 5 days (5 VERY tense days)...then as I said above it was about 4 weeks before I received my Welcome Letter and shortly following that my PR card arrived.

Well - still nothing - so I'm making an info pass appointment. The strange thing is that I filed a Change of Address and the system was updated immediately...so I'm thinking someone forgot to press the "Approve" button or she was just messing with me when the Officer said I was approved.mad.gif

Same situation here. Interview was last week. I was told I was approved, even received a letter printout. However, status has not changed at all. Could you please let me know if your status did eventually change and when you received your GC? Thank you!

I didn't even get a print out :P

But I did make an infopass appointment for mid August and explained the situation to the officer...2 months after the interview officer said I would get the GC. So he "passed the message" onto the Officer who interviewed me.

A week later I got my GC. The card said it was effective in July...so it took them a month to mail me my card...

So to answer your question, even though it was approved and effective in July, when I was on the site to check the status, it did not change. I haven't checked since I got the GC.

Your interview was really recent, I wouldn't even worry about it.

Congrats btw!

I wonder if the updating of the website may have something to do with it?

Not sure, but I scheduled an InfoPass appointment two weeks from now to find out. If status does change or green card arrives, I'll just cancel it.
