Hello Ya'll. I went for my interview on June11th,2013. The Officer stated that she will make a decision and I will get a response in a week. Well it is not quite a week yet, but my online status has not changed from "Interview and Testing" and that concerns me. I just received the Form i130 that says application approved which is not soothing my nerves because after reading the letter, it doesn't really mean anything positive at this time as it says "it doesn't mean my application is approved just because they approved the 130". Our interview was fairly simple, just basic questions like DOB, Address, when we met, when we got married etc, but I had been arrested before over traffic warrants and that was way back in 2005, and I brought her evidence that the case has since been cleared and that I don't have any issues with the police/law in my city, and yes, she kept that copy. She did not ask for any more original documentation except for my I-94 and my original passport with the Visa in it. She kept the i-94 and returned my old password. A little history, I am an F-1, status expired in 2006, filed in March 28th, Interview was done on June 11th, 2013...

Maybe I need to chill out and wait my week, but the nerves are killing me. Please help me understand what that might mean.

The online case status is not reliable. Give it some more time, and hopefully you will get your welcome letter within another week. I have my fingers crossed for both of you! All the waiting is stressful, I know. I also did mine through the Houston office - I was impressed with their professionalism. I had to provide more information (the doctor had failed to fill out a section of my I-693) but I couriered it back to them same day and got my approval fairly quickly.

Hello guys. I know I have been quiet for a minute. I was interviewed in Houston but I can't remember the ladies name. She was kinda Hispanic/Black mixed looking, tall and with some kind of accent sounded to me like from Central America somewhere. Anyway, my text did not notify me, but my email did. @ 1530hrs today (cst), there was an email that says there was an update on my case. Rushed to the website and btwn this morning and now, they skipped from Testing/Interview to Card processing and that I should receive my card in 30 days... I am soooooooo excited.

So from me mailing out my stuff on 03/28/2013, to interview 06/11/13 and Approval or card mailed out 06/20/2013. This process took me less than 3 months!

I pray you guys will get some good news too. All my friends (ones that I know and talk openly about this process), who have filed through Houston, I haven't seen anyone denied yet. Praying for you all and thanks for the virtual support!!!
