I've used for that as well. I've also used to get threads moved to the right place. Some guy posted a question in the Thai forum once asking how to get a birth certificate in Morocco. Good thing there's no IQ test as part of the visa interview.

I really love it when the upper forums get hijacked and closed. Usually something about young Filipino brides and old petitioners, how to cheat the system, or people complaining about processing time after a couple months. Completely different group of people up there but some of them throw down.

You can't fart in the upper forums without it getting deleted and your being thread banned and then chastized by one of our crack moderators via pm.

There is some history about that. You have probably already noticed several new posters tend to stake out contrary positions, and resist the efforts of more senior members to bring them into the consensus of misinformation often accepted here as the SOP for filing whatever. Sometimes there is some merit to their arguments, but more often the advice they give is just plain wrong. So we created a group that would look for juicy bits then mount an attack against such nOObs. The management didn't appreciate that, so we were "asked" with a bulletin pinned to the then consolidated Off Topic forum to cease and desist.

It's funny to go back and read the K-1 and Philippines forum now. Same old 4 or 5 questions and complaints over and over. One guy named Hank still hangs around in the philippine forum and gives good patience answers to all the questions.

I love it when the New K-1'rs want to figure out how to expedite their claim after 2 months. or they are going to fly to the interview with 4 suitcases of evidence that no one gives a rats ####### about.

I always say the same thing. If your relationship is real, you don't have criminal background etc, and you meet the income requirements you are in.

I used to troll the Effects Forum and tried to actually dole out useful advice to those caught in marital and relationship woes. Sometimes it would take, others are so blinded by love/lust they can't see they are being taken for a ride.

The military forum has a lot of information, I wish I would have found this site before I started my wife's paperwork. By God's grace I made it through the process faster than I'd wager almost everyone from a Mena country.

I will admit I used to hang out in the PI forum, mostly to see the drama that was Darren and Gretchen. I still remember the lashing Darnell handed out to him.

We did a lawyer for our K-1 as well. What a waste. After we found this site, we did AOS ourselves.
